The results of the Nov. 2 election in Milwaukee, now the subject of an investigation into possible voter fraud, were certified without any double-checking of the totals by the city or county panels charged with oversight, the Journal Sentinel has determined.
Thus, polling-place discrepancies between the number of ballots cast and the count of voters at many wards went undiscovered until long after the election results were finalized.
...
As of Thursday, the city had not submitted the documents, though it is unclear how hard the county pushed to get them.
In any case, the materials are now part of the voter-fraud probe being overseen by Milwaukee County District Attorney E. Michael McCann and U.S. Attorney Steve Biskupic.

Milwaukee vote fraud ping list.
Looks like the investigation is expanding.
Waiting to see the final outcome of the WA state debacle.
Perhaps integrity is coming to our electoral process.
Well, SURPRIZE, SURPRIZE, SURPRIZE.
Wisconsin has a built-in glitch in their voter registration laws that permits same-day registration on Election Day, and it can be done right there at the polls. Apparently you don't have to even prove all that much, either. Like a utility bill, in a specific name at an address within the boundaries of the voting district where the polls are located.
Back a century ago, when some folks only got into town on Election Day, that law may have made sense. Now, it is impossible to purge the fraudulent voters on the rolls, until long after the election.
Milwaukee is to Wisconsin what Detroit is to Michigan. If fraud were eliminated from these cities alone, both Wisconsin and Michigan would have a good chance of going Republican but with the fraud in these cities running unchallenged, it will never happen.
It's actually worse than that. If you "forgot" your "utility bill", you can have someone else vouch for you. In fact, there were tables set up by Democratic-affiliated groups in Racine where "residents" fresh off the vans from Illinois were matched up with people willing to swear to the lie.
It's worse than that. If a same-day registrant has NO identification at all, he can find another registered voter to "vouch" for him: he is who he says he is and his address is correct. Keep in mind, the "vouch-er" can be someone who also registered a few moments before under the same procedure.
They sure are trusting souls up there. < /sarcasm >
LOL! "Great minds" and all that.
John Washburn, a frequent commentator on Boots and Sabers, set up his own blog and documented quite a bit of the shenanigans that went on up here last year. 'Tis a very good, well-researched read.
Timing is everything :-)
Having District Attorney E. Michael McCann as the overseer is akin to letting the fox guard the henhouse. He did virtually nothing about the rampant "in your face" voter fraud in Milwaukee four years ago, despite being served up numerous shining examples on a silver platter.
District Attorney E. Michael McCann's role in this is to serve as chief obstructionist, assuring nothing meaningful comes from the investigation. Do not expect any positive outcome with District Attorney E. Michael McCann as the overseer.
One would hope that US Attorney Steve Biskupic has learned from the tire-slashing case (that sure seems to have gone nowhere fast, with the token charges from McCan't falling apart faster than a roast left marinating in the slow cooker too long). If he has, then we'll see a raft of federal charges, and the plea bargains there only get the prison sentence reduced some.
Bump
Another story you won't hear on the CBS Evening News. And where is Jesse Jackson?
Not to mention the NINE committeemen of the St. Louis Democratic Party who were INDICTED this week for vote buying. Not a peep in the media.
At least we know our U.S. Attorneys are starting to take the issue seriously. Time will tell.
Meaning they checked the red areas but not the blue. The Dems were very loud about declaring Republican election fraud and demanding an investigation. That was one of their typical diversionary actions of pointing the finger away from themselves. Another case of "Be careful what you demand."
Quick note on that; they are two slices of suburban counties acquired by Milwaukee for the business of keeping those businesses (a landfill and what was then known as Ambrosia Chocolate) on city taxrolls. That wouldn't be a problem, except that the State Elections Board has an opinion that one can register at one's place of work (see the case of Philip J. Petersen at 555 W. Air Cargo Way).
