Besides, if Judge Greer holds Goveronr Bush in contempt, the response should be, "Yes, Judge Greer, I am in contempt of YOU!"

The other morning I saw part of a movie about two punks terrorizing a subway car full of people.
One by one, they bullied and humiliated the passengers. There were about 20 passengers in the car, and they could have easily jumped and beat the crap out of the thugs, but no one was brave enough to do it, so the terrorizing went on.
Contemptuous of the people in the subway car, I convinced myself that if such a thing were to happen in reality, the thugs wouldn't last a minute.
But, here we are. Watching murder. And all we do is post our outrage on an internet bulletin board. And no one is really doing a thing about it.

It's ALL in Jebs' lap now.
Is Jeb up to it?
If he is, will he act in time?
Terri is dying.

This is a moment of either courage or cowardice. The clock is ticking not only on poor Terri Schiavo, but on Jeb Bush as well. It may well be the darkest day of his spiritual life.
It is rumored that Jeb Bush and his wife consecrated the G. W. Bush presidency to Our Lady of Guadalupe. If Terri Schiavo is allowed to starve on Holy Week partly due to the inaction of Jeb Bush, I imagine that any spiritual protection conferred will be summarily revoked....

5,226 words. Yipes! But he's right. It's time to cross the rubicon and both Governor and President Bush have a reason to.
The Florida State Courts think they are above the Congress of the United States as to the Federal Courts. If the Brothers Bush do nothing at this key point, judicial supremacy will not be stopped.

In other words, if 2 of 3 branches agree on something, then ......GET ER DONE!
hell, as outraged as i am about shoddy treatment the schindlers (including terri) have gotten from the schiavos, their lawyers, the courts and the media, anyone bashing the bushes' efforts to bring attention to the case and have it reversed will get to share it
since i only have a finite amount of outrage, the stupidity of the holier-than-thou bush-bashers are detracting from sentiment in favor of terri
i wonder if bush achieving his lowest popular approval ever, as a result of his efforts to save terri, is a function of his activism frightening ill-informed moderates or the ingratitude of pro-lifers that he didn't pull an elian gonzales-style raid on the hospice

Maybe Gov. Bush is contemplating how many innocent lives will be put at risk if he tries to rescue Terri.
The courts have set up a nightmare scenario, and as wonderful as it sounds to just go in and get Terri (whether legal or not) and take her out, the reality is the police are under a court order by Judge Greer - one upheld by the Supreme Court of Florida - to not let Gov. Bush and his people in - I assume that means by deadly force if necessary. Isn't it also Gov. Bush's obligation to consider the possible loss of innocent lives who might be killed in a showdown, as a real shootout is possible? With all the protestors and newpeople standing around, as well as the DCF workers who would be trying to seize Terri, not to mention the law enforcement personnel on both sides, this could be a real nightmare, with no guarantee of saving Terri. And, if innocent lives were lost in this possible confrontation, whose hands would the blood of those innocent people be on? Jeb Bush's, of course, as he is the one who would be in contempt of court.
