EVERYONE MUST READ THE SUBJECT ARTICLE!

From WorldNetDaily:
"Editor's note: WorldNetDaily has been reporting on the Terri Schiavo story since 2002 – far longer than any other national news organization – and exposing the many troubling, scandalous, and possibly criminal, aspects of the case that to this day rarely surface in news reports. Read WorldNetDaily's unparalleled, in-depth coverage of the life-and-death fight over Terri Schiavo, including over 150 original stories and columns."

Thanks for posting this. I'm happy to read that the Doctor supports what the Schindlers have said (and what many Freepers have said) for several years.

I am also very happy to learn there are sane neurologists in the US.

Free Republic is a national news organization. No offense to World Net Daily, but we've done a bit here, too.

So it's a crime in America for a woman to be married to a scumbag philandering husband, and then somehow become disabled, so as the unwanted and abandoned wife needs to be starved to death.

Hey, all you Nazis and Stalinist pigs you must be cheering for this day of infamy in America.

Terri is condemned to torture and death for her husband's sins.

This contradicts what Dr. Cranford has been saying on TV .

Cranford has said Terri has a "flat eeg" and he also said "PVS patients have no constitutional rights."

If PVS patients have no constitutional rights, can they be killed without due process?

I agree.

If Terri dies, I'd like to see Mike Schiavo tied up with a long and expensive wrongful death suit.

Ideally, I'd like to see Judge Greer included in that wrongful death lawsuit. I don't know if it's possible to sue a judge though.

Mike Schiavo may be found not guilty in the wrongful death suit but the dirty laundary will come out for all to see and his name will me mud forever.

Interestingly, the affiant neurologist, who has completed a pain fellowship (and presents other formidable credentials), points out recent findings from a highly-regarded medical center demonstrating that the language-processing areas of the cerebral cortex of a person in a minimally conscious state are greatly activated when text is read to that person by someone whose voice that person recognizes. On the basis of the totality of the record, this neurologist concludes that Terri is in a minimally conscious state rather than a persistent vegetative state and that he could not in good conscience withdraw nutrition and hydration if she were his patient.

One of the points that Dr Chesire makes is that we are constantly making incredible medical advances, what is possible today was unthinkable, medically, not long ago.
Researchers at the Harvard affiliated Schepens Eye Research Institute have used genetic manipulation to regenerate damaged optic nerves in mice, with the hope of eventually helping humans regenerate nerves so they can see and walk again.
The medical frontiers are expanding every day.
There could be hope for Terri down the road , but, Judge Greer and the husband seem terrified of that possibility.

from the same field. this neurologist has the most comprehensive and accurate assessment i've seen. so why is the judicial system able to pick and choose the consultants who echo their views???

I don't know. Maybe the judge had made up his mind already, having already heard evidence that went the other way? Just a guess on my part...

think you're right. he's heard mountains of contradictory opinion, and unfortunately his default is cessation of care......
