Agreeing in prayer. Amen, Pegita.
You're welcomed. :^)
No personal disrespect, but at this point, I think that would be a totally futile effort. The people who are calling are hoping to get through to let him know he has their support to do whatever he can to save Terri. The effort at hand, at this distressing hour, has to be on making calls where it can help. I imagine that Gov. Bush's office is frantic with activity focused on this cause.
Have a most blessed weekend, Ohioan. God bless you for all you have done in this effort. God's peace, comfort and safety are wished for you.
I love orange juice, but I'll just have to use California oranges to juice my own. Glad my Dad just moved out of Florida (as a result of the hurricanes)...no I have NO REASON to ever do any business with Florida again.
Yes, more prayers for Terri.
How to reach Governor Jeb Bush:
850-488-5603
850-488-4441
850-488-5000 (Gov. Legislative Affairs Office)
See you when you get back. Hopefully Terri will be safe by then. We'll miss you.
Funny how Florida was our Savior in the 2000 election and now come to find out Florida needs a Savior!
No I don't. Can you google, I wonder?
I've joined the boycott and have emailed the Florida citrus site. Thank you.
Should have Dr. Laura address this issue today...she was appealing to Michael (Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot) Schiavo's friends to lean on him to return Terri to her parents. She was breaking down on the air.
I wish I could get my hopes up that Whittemore will do the right thing. But IMHO he is playing with fire. If he tries to be the "hero" at this point, it very well may come too late for Terri. He was the one who started with running out time on Terri's clock by taking his sweet time. If she dies or suffers irreversible organ damage, the blame is in great part his.
No. He did not. Judges do not "invite" litigation; that's completely a rumor. Gibbs filed a petition for a TRO (based on "new evidence") with the federal district court early this afternoon. Judge Whittemore was assigned the case because it is "continuing jurisdiction." He set a briefing schedule deadline of 3:00 pm, and a hearing time of 6:00 pm.
And if this goes like it did two days ago, he'll take another freaking 14 hours to issue a ruling.
While it doesn't feel good and is hard to do, we should also pray for God to move rapidly and mightily upon Michael Schiavo's heart. He too could stop this madness.
Florida = France.
blogsforterri.com is one.
Isn't THAT statement enough to gag you. LOL
"Jeb Bush's hands are tied. He would do whatever he could to help her. He is Catholic and he has a compassionate heart. What more can he do?"
Maybe the constitution does give him a right to use exec power...and maybe that would have to trump anything else...but they would go back to the same old "It was Terri's wishes",,,so they need to stress the inadmissibility of the evidence that Michael gave as to what she said as hearsay..iy really never should have been admitted....I need to find the trasncripts and read that stuff...tonight they need to show enough new evidence to warrant a new trial, and then Michael would have to come up with that same testimony which would be refuted by other more credible witnesses. When this first happened Terri had no attorney, so who was objecting to the hearsay testimony...????
