TAMPA, Fla. (AP) A lawyer for Terri Schiavo's parents says an appeal to try to keep the brain-damaged woman alive has been filed with the U.S. Supreme Court.
even prior to this sad (lack of) ruling in Terris case, This has been the most pitiful, wishy-washy court in the recent history of our country. They refuse to take firm stands on anything. Justice Kennedy looks to popular culture for trends and contemporary attitudes when he sites his opinions on constitutional issues.
Sad that this court has become milque-toast.
Governor Bush should send in the Nat'l Guard to save her and sort it out later.
Please take a moment to read Peggy Noonan's article in the Opinion Journal. She has defined the true nature of Terri's plight, which represents the plight of our humanity.

Did anyone hear about the letters delivered to Jeb Bush in October 2003 from very credible attorneys, outlining why under the law, he has the authority to take Terri into custody? Does the governor think that no one will hold him at least partially responsible if he knew this and didn't act?

Amazing that Terri State murder is being carried out during Holy Week. Will Jeb, President Bush play Pontius Pilate? Forget the courts. Jeb and the President could use their Executive powers to save Terry. One example of the use of Executive Powers is President Lincoln at the start of the Civil War. Nowhere in the Constitution does it specifically state before the Civil War that a State could not leave the Union. President Lincoln USED his Executive powers to force the succeeding states to return to the Union. So guys correct me if I am wrong, but Jeb Bush, President Bush is going to allow a swamp Judge to dictate to them. Remember all the reviews both State & Federal are based on the swamp judge Greer. What a joke. Andrew Jackson was in a similar situation as President that is facing a contempt charge for overriding a Judge. Andrew Jackson brushed it aside. Nothing came about. All Three branches are equal. If we allow the Judicial Branch to Murder Terri it will not only establish a “right to die” landmark case, but will give unlimited power to them. The Republicans who know this is murder are acting like Girle men. This poor woman has suffered starvation, dehydration for almost a week.
Agreed with most of what you've stated, and glad you are not among those looking to hold Jeb and the Reps up as responsible for the highest evil in the land.
My main difference is whether this is in Jeb's power to stop. If it is God's will, he'll intervene. If not, I'm assuming he has another purpose. I do not believe Jeb would defy His will on this.

I believe he does have the power. How many times do we not obey because of fear of man?
He already told us what to do....give drink to the thirsty in my name. He does this - rescues Terri - eyes have not seen nor ears have heard how God will bless those that love Him - strictly by faith. Jeb has fought the good fight but he didn't finish the race....he's obeying man's rules, not God's, of course this is my humble opinion. Let God deal w/the consequences. Vengense is Mine, says The Lord.
He doesn't need Greer's approval - it would be nice - but if he had his approval on anything - we wouldn't be chatting about his - I truly believe Jeb has God's blessings in store if He saves Terri. Jesus says - He would die for just one of us. You can't play it safe in this evil world while corruption abounds - this is exactly how we got in this mess - there is no 'waiting until the next time - the time is now to act. If others do radical things for evil - why should we not do something radical for good. And I don't believe getting Terri to safety is radical...it is simple the right thing to do.

What you believe and what God intends are not necessarly in sync.
I'll leave God's will for Jeb's life to Jeb to discern.
It's not only what I believe - it is what God says in His Word - that is where I get my beliefs from.
This is not about Jeb's life/career or whatever - it is about TERRI's life - and perhaps countless others that have been cast under the deception that lies within.
What opportunity or event needs to take place for ONE person to stand up and do what most people would say 'unthinkable'. This is the opportunity - we have let so many pass by.....and here we are again. If we live with wrong long enough, we eventually don't see the wrong anymore and/or just become complacent with it.
People HAVE stood up. The only reason Terri is alive today is because Jeb joined this battle a few years ago. Yet he's not given credit, rather blamed. As are the President, Congress and House. If this was about career's they would have remained silent.
It IS about his life. God has purpose for Jeb's life, and I will not pretend to believe I know whether God intends Jeb to be the one to finally say, "Enough". His timing isn't mine.
I remember when Jeb had the tube inserted. I called his office back then. I know Terri is alive because of that. I am not blaming him - I'm just saying finish the job.
Everything has come up to this point - what the prez, congress and the house did brought us to where we are.
Jeb's career is dedicated to the people of Florida - so can we agree that was God's choice for his life? If so, he was raised up for such a time as this.
Please keep in mind - I am not critizing Jeb - for some reason you seem to have that mindset. God works through us, He doesn't come down and do it for us.
Between us - maybe we can say 'enough'. This is not meant to be an agrument - after all, we are both on the same side that includes our God given rights of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness....FOR ALL.

We can agree to that point. Whether he wishes Jeb to personally esort terri away, or whether he wishes remembrance of her life to serve as a wake up call to our nation? That I do not know. Only Jeb would know the intention God has made clear to him in this matter.
