You apparently have a problem with someone who is morally opposed to pulling the tubes but take no issue with a neurologist that has a history of euthanasia advocacy being heavily relied upon by the court and was hired by Michael Schiavo.

And why wouldn't Carla Iyer be discussing the problems with Terri's parents? Besides, if the husband was expecting care above the standard and she was slacking, why would she go through the trouble she did to contact the police and Terri's parents? Also, her testimony has been corroborated by two other nurses who do not know her.

So because you accuse others of blindly believing those who side with Terri's parents, couldn't the same be said of you? Michael is hardly credible, himself. What exactly is it that you trust in this man?

And the neurologist that you claim to be incredible (boy everyone is!!) is a Nobel Prize nominee - not exactly considered a hack. Now the latest neurologist to see her has suggested that she may have been misdiagnosed. He is from the Mayo Clinic and is widely renowned. Another incredible hack?

I am afraid that you are the one who is blindly following - whatever makes your ideology work, I suppose.

You apparently like to jump to conclusions not just on this case, but in inferring my beliefs and motives.

I have no problem with Pearse
I do have a problem with Cranford and Felos
You seem to miss that Terri's parents "forgot" all those phone calls Carla made to them, never once referring to them when it was so critical that they do so

I made it clear all along that I did *not* want them to pull her tube under these circumstances. I just have objective reasons for it and despise all the lies or half-truths that are told here and at the advocacy sites.

That is just it! Hammesfahr is NOT a "Nobel Prize Nominee"! He lies!

He has been asked to cease and desist claiming to be so.

Would you trust a man who told such a lie?

His report is misleading and he refused to answer for at trial - he was bailed out by Pat Anderson, who was smart enough to not put it in evidence. His "startling revelations" interview everyone loves to quote is so full of misinfo it's disgusting.

He is "widely renowned" to most as a quack. He does good stuff treating whiplash and minor strokes if caught early enough with his patented use of vasodilators for those things.

And I promise you I haven't blindly followed anyone. I can't afford to. I needed to report the facts, so I had to go find them. 1300 pages of them. Sorry, reading wild rumors on a forum doesn't equate to research.

"And the neurologist that you claim to be incredible (boy everyone is!!) is a Nobel Prize nominee - not exactly considered a hack."

I have seen this posted elsewhere - I think there may be a problem with this claim:

Each year there are 100 to 250 nominees for each prize. It should be noted that the expression "nominated for a Nobel Prize," when used to establish someone's credentials or expertise in a certain field, is not an essentially meaningless expression. Although anyone can be nominated, not anyone can nominate anyone else for a Nobel Prize. For example the website of the Nobel Foundation (http://nobelprize.org/) says that in the case of the peace prize the following people may nominate:

Members of national assemblies and governments of states
Members of international courts
University rectors
Professors of social sciences, history, philosophy, law and theology
Directors of peace research institutes and foreign policy institutes
Persons who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
Board members of organizations who have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
Active and former members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee
Former advisers appointed by the Norwegian Nobel Institute

...the Nobel Prize nominees are not publicly announced and they are not supposed to be told that they were ever considered for the prize. The records are sealed for 50 years. This is done to avoid turning the awarding of the prize into a popularity contest. Due to this secrecy it is questionable whenever someone uses a Nobel nomination as a qualification (how could you check it?).
