He can't stop an emergency intervention.
Gov. Bush doesn't need Greer's permission, per the law.
A judge cannot enjoin the executive from enforcing the law, so long as the law is on the books.
Greer loses this one.

I know there is a that old joke about lawyers in Hell, but I think about this quite a few judges will be joining them in due time.

What is really wierd about this whole thing is Greer's
intense motivation to torture and murder this woman, while there is so much doubt about her true condition, and the motivations of her 'husband' who has an intense, buring desire to see her dead.
These people are beond rational behavior, but I guess premeditated murder is not really considered rational behavior.

The Judge has a bailiff. The Governor has MARSHALLS!! Many, many Marshalls TRUMPS a bailliff whom I doubt would fight to preserve the Judges orders.
That's IT in a nutshell. The Governor just has to have the GUTS, like Clinton to order the Marshalls to capture and kidnap ELIAN.

"Greer loses this one."
unless the Executive Branch unnecessarily kowtows to him . . .
He is playing this game of poker rather boldly, given the cards he actually has . . . but he has won all the chips so far . . .

Greer reminds me of some of the characters in "Judgment at Nuremberg."

Sounds plenty good, to me.
Though at this point in starvation and dehydration--letting her go on to The Lord might be more loving. Hard to say.

Greer loses this one. Yeah, if anyone cared enough to enforce it.
