On Fox News Channel, Martha McCallum just announced that Florida governor Jeb Bush will make a statement on the Terri Schiavo case at 3 PM EST.
Katherine Harris.
Thanks. I'm going along w/your thoughts. Asking only for records but taking Terri to safety.
How many people want to live like the homeless? Many of them are mentally ill, rely on the care of others and have been on the streets just as long. Kill them, too?
IMHO.. the left will be proven wrong. God is in control. He hears our prayers. MSM and Libs can only hid for so long. The victor in this is Jesus!
"He doesn't have a basis to do that over the courts. I do understand the passion though.
We are witnessing a murder."
Any citizen has a right to defend against murder and I believe that law enforcement under executive order, or any statute has the right to remove a person from a life-threatening environment.
Thanks... FReegards!
Katherine Harris, I think, was the name of the woman in 2000 (the year of the chads).
well, first you have to give considertaion to the simple fact - if we go to the mats against the judiciary over this case, CAN WE WIN? take a look at the poll numbers on this issue - and yes, I know alot of that is based on ignorance of the facts in this case. but ignorant americans are americans too. hell, we have some freepers who are informed on the facts in this case and are agreeing with the courts.
so my point is simply, a judgement needs to be made whether this partcular case is the one where the two branches of government who are accountable to the citizens, can convince the people that the third unaccountable branch is out of control and needs to be checked. Although I totally agree with that sentiment, I just don't think the elected representatives on that side of the issue can make a move like that as it stands now. Its too bad that this case involves a "ticking clock" in the form of this woman's life; to be honest, the public case on this should have been made weeks ago, before it reached this stage. If we had 70% poll numbers on our side of this issue and against the courts, the outcome might be different.
But, he was talking about NEW EVIDENCE in the case. The new evidence is interpreted by DCF to possibly mean that Terri was misdiagnosed to be in PVS. A prominent specialist is apparently ready to submit an affidavit that Terri is instead is in a "minimally conscious state."
This specialist is Dr. William Cheshire of the Mayo Clinic, who apparently was allowed to observe Terri at her bedside for about an hour; and the DCF spokeswoman said he has reviewed many hours of videotape.
Diagnosis of "minimally conscious state" apparently raises a raft of questions about whether Terri can feel pain, and about the appropriateness of the treatment (or rather lack of it) she's been receiving.
Governor Bush said that when new DNA evidence comes in about a prisoner on death row, the federal courts will immediately rehear the case. He said when we have new evidence about Terri Schiavo, we should do the same for Terri.
That's the best I can summarize what I heard. Sorry I can't identify exactly who the speakers were besides Governor Bush. There were two women who I presume were lawyers or administrators of DCF.

This is precisely the kind of evidence that deserves a Federal review under the new law.

Thank you for that information
So basically you are putting your authorization on the husband's persistent opposition to rehabilitation (since a mere 3 months after he won a huge malpractice award that he was legally obliged to dedicate to her rehabilitation).
Either you are one sick puppy or you are ignorant of the events that have transpired. According to your reasoning, all you have to do to kill off a helpless person is deny them help and wait until they deteriorate.
Have some faith man...dont be so negative. Give Jeb a chance..it aint over pal.
Re Migraine - make sure you're getting enough water, and breath deeply. Go to a dark room, if you can, for a few minutes. That usually helps mine.
Meanwhile, yes, I'll pray for you.
The actual rulling though has to have a list of the majority and then the dissent.
THese judges have to know that when deliberately ignore the law to exercise their own power they will be identified, and recognized for what they are.
THis ruling should hang in shame around their necks for the rest of their career.
I would suggest always referring to them as either death judge Greer or executioner judge whatever their names are.FRANKENSTEIN. I am really scared that people in these position of authority should act like that.
They waik among us, like normal people but somewhere within their hearts they have the murderous ability to stand by and abet the painful execution of a defenseless impaired INNOCENT woman.
