Something MUST Be Done Today for Terri Schiavo (Rescue Her Today!)

I wrote this to a FReeper earlier. She was feeling much frustration with many here I believe because of what was, in her mind, a careless disregard for morality and the well-being of an innocent and quite defenseless girl, Terri Schiavo.
The intelligent and good FReeper was at the point of wanting to leave FR. So I wrote her:
*****
Don't go, please. You're one of the folks here with a real good heart and very strong feelings. That is a very good combination. Don't go ........
I'm getting a feeling (or a wish) that today (Wednesday) the Federal marshals or some others are going to take control of this abysmal situation. Unlike the Elian Gonzalez catastrophe, this will be for the good of a human being.
Maybe in the future it can be referred to as 'Good Wednesday'. Because the more I learn about this entire case, this girl has been done wrong since the very beginning and things must be righted. What is happening now must end....... well.
*********
I implore all who care about the wrongness of all this to contact the White House, contact anyone who could have something to do with getting action TODAY. There can not be any more wasted time and destruction of this innocent girl. If this husband is much of what we suspect, this matter should not be allowed to end in her death by these brutal means!

By law, a hospice may only accept terminally ill clients. Terri is not terminally ill. Laws mean nothing here.

Could something like that save Terri? Quite doubtful.

I've never seen that picture before -- just the guy pointing the gun at Elian in the closet one. Thanks.

On fox: the priest says he is not permitted on the property.
"Her parents have three police check points, one a strip search. In the room there is a policeman because they fear she might give Terri water."
"I think he [Michael] wants what is best for him...I can give a laundry list of abuses that I would not do do a dog." 7:15 AM Wed., Brother Paul O'Donnell, Parish advisor of Terri's church.
"She is pale white instead of rosy, her cheeks are beginning to sink in, and her tongue is beginning to swell."

steady, incremental progress. -- As an innocent woman is killed.
When doctors treat a disease that has been creeping up on you for awhile they don't use "steady, incremental progress" to treat it. Instead, they blast the hell out of it with antibiotics/radiation/whatever treatment they deem necessary.

Yes, and in this case:
If G.W. is righteously seeing, he'll go there for Terri's well being.
GO get her, this is a PURE CRIME.... a 15 year crime!

One of Sean Hannity's brightest moments. He came extremely well prepared for the interview and the other thing he brought out was that the "good doctor" thought that alzheimer patients should never be put on feeding tubes. He also brought out how this doctor is the one holding the balloon over Terri's head and told her "good job, keep it up, you are doing great" (and he admitted "talking to a vegetable")
These guys are willing to lie through their teeth to have this woman killed.

Yes.
This is awfully unreal for an Easter week.

FYI -re: #55 = When I scroll to the top of this thread, I see 'News/Activism' in the upper right-hand corner. I think this is the best place to be for the most public exposure. Hopefully, it stays here, & doesn't get moved to 'general / chat'.

What will your response be if he does not act to your wishes? Would you call for his impeachment as others have for the judges who have ruled for the tubes to be reinserted?
I, too, am appalled at what is happening to Terri. I am more convinced that the fault rests more with David Gibbs than with the Judges.

I do not believe advocating revolution is going to keep you posting on this board.
If that is your intent and wish, you are right to leave FR because nobody here is lawless, or that is not the intent of people here.
Go get yourself involved in revolution elsewhere.
Just my opinion.

I'd love to think you are right, but I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach that it wouldn't make a bit of difference to the majority of Americans if someone was killed trying to give Terri a cup of water.I, for one, do not care one bit about that ignorant and disinformred "majority". Let them be ignorant, save this girl from this CRIME!
Give her the water and get her out of THE MURDER PARLOR!

This is what I just sent to President Bush and Vice President Cheney:
Dear President Bush,
At this point we have seen a circuit court judge from the State of Florida disregard a subpeona from Congress.
Unless you act today to enforce that writ from Congress, Terri Schiavo will die.
She will be the first non terminal innocent, incapacitated person to be ordered to die by starvation and dehydration by a court of law.
That is against the Constitution, the will of Congress, and every moral code I know of.
I now have seen how the judiciary at all levels is more intent with protecting each other than with following the will of Congress,or extending mercy that is routinely given to mass murderers and rapists.
This cannot stand. You must act by Executive Order, today, to send the US Marshals, to protect a witness who is summoned to appear before Congress.
Let the judiciary rage. A wrong MUST be righted. And you have been given the power to do this.
Please act. Tomorrow will be too late.

Yes, but this entire mess has no place in the courts. It is a FAMILY matter, and her husband is not a blood relative. As soon as he decided 'for her' to die, custody should automatically revert to her parents. I posted to another thread that this event has too many Biblical similarities (especially timing) to be mere coincidence. I'm glad that others see it as well. She may have been God's test of our nation's stance on Good vs. Evil. If so, we've failed at this point. If she is murdered, I don't want to hear any more of this "compassionate conservative" crap. Compassion my ass. I'm afraid this event could revulse my loyalties to their foundations, causing a re-evaluation of my party affiliation. I doubt that I'm alone in that. At what point do we find anyone in government that tells the truth? I honestly thought the president was such a man. I haven't given up on him yet - but time is running out.Amen, and Ahmein, neighbor.

"alzheimers patients should never be put on feeding tubes." That's not controversial. In fact it's common practice around here (NYS). At the nursing home when the resident becomes unable to take food via mouth they send in the ghouls from hospice to lecture you on how bad feeding tubes are and that "they will not prolong life" That seems to be their favorite line. Then they tell you how "painless and compassionate" the alternative is. I'm sure the majority of families fall for this line being in a vulnerable state due to the condition of a loved one. You would have to be there to comprehend how repulsive they sound spouting the Cranwell line.
