Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.
Hoorah. I also wonder at the street name myself. The nerve of some cretens thinking they can live on a street with such a name and behave in such a manner.
Sadly, you are probably right. You know what's interesting is the fact that the media isn't bothering M. Schiavo's harlot and two spawn for interviews. Shows that the media is cheering for this disgusting situation. They wonder why they lose viewership....
As I said, Whitmore's opinion is circular. His judgment is based on the trial court findings which the law required him to set aside.
yep, they should have been tossed out and reviewed de novo...but he seemed to ignore that
Aside from prayer?
The only thing we can do is write/call the Florida State legislators listed at helpterri.com and urge them to reverse their positions and pass a law favored by the State legislature to save terri's life. If they are going to do so, tomorrow is the last possible day.
Boycott Florida? As someone who lives here I have to ask you to rethink that idea. It's not the fault of the residents who are trying to live their lives and feed their families that one creep is trying to kill his wife. We must be doing something right if we elected a state legislature that would go to such lengths to fix this problem. Last I heard we're only one state senator away from solving this problem, not only for Terri but for anyone in the future who finds herself in Terri's position. Would we see this kind of action in other states, or would the liberals have turned a blind eye?
Like it or not, there are some injustices that can't be fixed with boycotts.
To appeal to the Supreme Court
You sound like me .. I'm hypoglycemic -- I have snacks everywhere I go ;)
Maybe he was...no, not gonna say it! :)
Those idiots don't speak for all of us atheists.
There are such creatures as Atheists For Life.

Also, there is no way the dates could be wrong. Nothing from today has been posted then, right?
We helped destroy CBS. I think this cause is even more important. We must put our heads together and do something.

How are you all doing?
To be very honest, if Terri is allowed to die, and there isn't blood shed over this, I think we may as well kiss America's ass goodbye.
I have $100 to my name at the moment, til monies owed arrive, but if someone sent me a prepaid gas card for about $600, and booked me a room in FL, I could be there in 36 hours and I'd be honored to help rescue that poor woman.
I am sorry, but a circular argument is a circular argument, uttered by lawyer, judge or mathematician. The former seem to get away with it on a regular basis. The latter would be laughed out of his tenured chair by his professional peers.
I haven't really been following the threads, but I do know that the majority of Freepers are for the feeding tube to remain. I was talking to Mr. Denfurb last night and he told me that he wouldn't want to be kept alive like that. I think if nothing else, it has caused people to discuss what their wishes would be if (God forbid) they are in this situation. I still don't think I could make that decision knowing that's what he would want. It still seems like I would have killed him (sigh)
Then why was he still living with her parents three years after her attack?
Aw shucks, we think you're cute, too! ;-D
It would haunt me, too. All my life.
But the laws that allow food and drink to be considered extraordinary measures are Florida state laws. The laws that let hearsay be used in lieu of living wills are Florida state laws.
And the people in Pinellas County reelected Greer even after the first attempt to kill Terri.
Something about that state makes me wonder about the outlook of the people who live there...
