Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.
No, it's clear between the three doctors Michael and Greer hired and everyone else. There is almost universal agreement that a legitimate finding of PVS takes days or weeks; any such diagnosis reached in less than an hour is completely bogus.
Then again, Dr. Cranford (one of Michael's doctors) has even claimed that a person who could maneuver a motorized wheelchair was PVS.
An Italian doctor (woman) made the choice to forgo treatment and give life to her unborn baby. She was recently proclaimed a "Blessed" in the Catholic Church.
Something almost amusing if not for the current circumstances.
Reuters has apparently made a remarkable discovery. Not all supporting Terri are on the Christian Right!

I hope not...that means I will be up until 1-2. I might have to take something to help me sleep.
How do you know they do? And perhaps Morphine is given for reasons other than as a pain-killer in this case.
No, he had to plead a cause of action that Greer had been party to violation of Terri's civil rights, which is just fine. Whittmore erred in citing the trial record as evidence to decide that the case could not succeed on the merits. But he had to set aside the trial record. In other words all Gibbs had to do was plead a civil rights violation. Instead of prejudging the case, Whittmore needed to try the case. The hearing was only about injunctive relief to keep Terri alive until the case is tried.
There hasn't been a ruling in this case yet. The info found on the website earlier was from the other case, the habeas appeal. You will hear about the ruling on tv before you see it on the website.
My husband's best friend's mother was in exactly this position when she was pregnant with him. She chose to have him and not treat the cancer. She did die when he was almost a year old, not of cancer, though (her 'hopeless' cancer went into remission), she was murdered by the son of a diplomat who had immunity.
I'm sorry. That is very, very sad. :(
I've been so frazzled -- I forgot to ping you to the new thread -- I AM SO SORRY. Please, forgive me.
I just heard that felos had filed to have a wait of 8 hours for the tube to be put back in, so they can file an appeal to the ruling. How cruel is that???
My DIL liked to have flipped when they said that.
She said "that is just plain mean"!
You said it way better than me.
He had to consider the old court info because Gibbs brought it into the new pleadings.
A judge has to consider what is before him.
The Schindlers are not going to win. It is obvious. I don't think the 11th is going to overturn Whittmore.
Amen to the putty tat :)
Thank You
Also learned from Bobby Schindler that the family did not realize Michael was 'engaged' to this girlfriend until a friend sent them an obituary of Michael's mother death that stated mother was survived by her son Michael and his fiancee; no mention of Terri.
Also think it was on theempirejournal.com that I read that there is more than just Felos that has connections to the hospital/hospice/nursing home? where Terri is. There were people on the board of this place that have ties to Judge Greer, IIRC.
Yes .. I believe they did sell that.
She also receives pain medication for her menses...so she feels pain. If she was as brain dead as they keep trying to convince people, midol wouldn't be needed.
But now that I'm re-looking at what NCLaw posted..............the dates are from yesterday, the 21st...........so, IT MUST PERTAIN TO MOODY'S ruling ONLY;
otherwise it should have TODAY'S date!!!!!
