Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I think He just might do a bit of "turning over the tables of the money changers in the temple." I mean if He got THAT angry over overcharging for sacrificial ANIMALS, how much more angry would he be over the sacrificing of our innocent sister, Terri, by the present day Sandhedrin?

What motivates the family? They know TS will never be 100% again. What do they stand to gain? Nothing, it seems. I doubt that if TS were really vegetative or terminal that they would fight on like this. So it must be she is not. What else could it be?

Too many people see the similarities between what's happening now and Germany of the '30s. There's never been anything like this happening in the US before and people are very frightened at the precedents being set.

Remember, the Nazis used "just following the law" as their excuse, too. That excuse didn't wash at the Nuremberg trials. Just because it is the law, it doesn't mean that it's right and just.

This is WAR. This is SELF-DEFENCE. Wouldn't you try to stop Nazis with violence if you had a chance? I would. Violence is the last resort, but sometimes you just run out of alternatives.

I'd love to say "ditto" to that, but unfortunately, the "Nazi stuff" is a very valid point.

In October 1939, Hitler himself initiated a decree which empowered physicians to grant a "mercy death" to "patients considered incurable according to the best available human judgment of their state of health." The intent of the socalled "euthanasia" program, however, was not to relieve the suffering of the chronically ill. The Nazi regime used the term as a euphemism: its aim was to exterminate the mentally ill and the handicapped, thus "cleansing" the "Aryan" race of persons considered genetically defective and a financial burden to society.
