Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.

Terri has been sentenced to die, the judge has decreed.
He knows best.
I cannot believe that the law supports this. There are two different issues at play here, and removal of a feeding tube is far different than allowing her to consume nutrients naturally. The idea is obviously to kill Terri. What if someone were to walk into the room and shoot her in the head? It would be the same result.
JUDGE GREER ORDERED that Terri cannot receive food or water through natural means, contrary to Florida Statutes. It is an illegal order.
CORRECT! THIS is not reported in the media! THIS IS MOST OF THE REASON the Schindlers feel like Terri has not been given a chance! All the media says is, "she's had 15 years." Doesn't give most of the picture.
I have no idea about that. They probably need volunteers at this point. I don't know what is wrong with the locals down there offering very little support.

I too have the utmost respect for both the President and Gov. Bush.
I respect them even MORE since they have spoken out and are trying to save Terri.
But they have not yet done everything in their POWER to command the situation.
If Terri dies, they will appear weak and defeated to the WORLD.
And the DEMS will rejoice.
That the courts don't rule against such a brazen disregard for the law from a state judge is disgusting.
Even bending the state laws to allow the right-to-die statute to fit Terri, Greer goes out of his way to break state law by ordering nothing given to her by mouth.
Greer has ordered the killing of Terri, and we have federal judges who back him up by saying Greer's order has not been a state sanction.
What I want to know is, if Terri's death is not state sanctioned, why are government employees, the police, arresting people trying to help her? The government is pretending to wash their hands of Terri's death, pretending that they have nothing to do with it when they are in fact ordering it.

I came to this thread in support of Terri, and not to read false accusations that this situation is Jeb Bush's fault.

There have been some posters which has admitted that a "love" one has been put down or "allowed/helped along" to to the hereafter. We can not and should not pass judgment on these people till we have walked a mile in their shoes and besides, we ARE NOT God. This along is something these posters must deal with between their creator and themselves BUT DO NOT take what you can not handle yourselves and make other follow in your footsteps.
There is something horribly wrong when we as humans with a soul can make parents standby by helpless and watch their child be denied food and water. We continue to hear the same mantra over and over, "I would not want to live like this". Fine, DON'T BUT DO NOT TAKE WHAT YOU CAN NOT HANDLE YOURSELF AND PUSH IT ON THE REST OF US.
If you can not handle taking care of a terminal ill or handicap love one than this is something you must deal with between you and your creator BUT DO NOT DRAG THE REST OF US DOWN TO YOUR LEVEL OF HEARTLESS, SELFISHNESS AND CRUELTY to make you feel better. We have seem over and over how important Life is and how even those like Chris Reeves fought to the very end to live it.
Schindlers... our hearts are breaking with you all.

NIGHTMARES. We'd like justice for Terri and if she can't have justice, JEB BUSH HAS A DUTY, A RESPONSIBILITY TO PLACE TERRI INTO PROTECTIVE CUSTODY BEFORE SHE IS MURDERED IN A GOP STATE.
I must go now. Leave this thread if you must. I really am not here all that much. I AM AT HOSPICE WOODSIDE WAITING TO SEE MORE AMBULANCES AND LESS POLICE PRESENCE.
