Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.
Lord,
Once again we join together
to remind you of the needs of our sister Terri,
now walking through the valley of the shadow of death,
and we long to tell you of
the grief of her family,
and our grief at their situation and
the evilness touching our nation.
Be with us, who are doing your work,
standing up as your witneses,
and trying to carry your light.
Give us a heart like yours,
to love where we want to hate,
Use our hands, our feet, our voices
wherever you want us to use them.
Lord, in our anxiety for our sister,
help us to avoid the evil thing,
the wrong thing,
the thing you don't want us to do,
and most of all,
hold us all in the palm of your hand,
this day, and always,
Amen.
I tried to stay awak but some in the house weren't happy I ws still up at 3 a.m. :)
Don't use that wording...if you get phlebitis, they could use that against you!
Thank you!
Well, I did get a bit more sleep-- about 5 hours--- just can't stand this.....
Lord PLEASE MOVE NOW TO SAVE TERRI!
THis is HEART WRENCHING!

This is it. You have it in a nutshell.
I think there's a link, too.
Good Morning, FRiends...
I've been sitting here, staring at the screen, totally numb, mad, sad... I wasn't even sure I'd be posting anything today, but here I go anyway...
It seems that no matter how hard we've tried, it just hasn't been enough to save our Terri... I have no hope that the Supremes will step in and stop the senseless execution of Terri.
You know how when bad things happen to good people, we always say, "why did God let this happen?" Well, I believe that God has plans to use Terri as His "instrument" -- we have researched Greer, Felos, et. al., and we know how evil they are, and we've learned just how corrupt our judicial system has become. We are all outraged at what our courts have become.
Maybe God's intent is to use Terri to make us realize that WE are the only ones who can do something about it -- we, the people, are the only ones who can try to make things right in the future, so others will not have to endure what Terri has endured. Unfortunately, our dear Terri must be the sacrificial lamb.
I cannot believe the evil we have all witnessed during the last few years -- the evil that has surrounded Terri. I hope her so-called husband, Greer, Felos, and the rest of the evil-doers spend an eternity in hell, where they belong.
If it is God's will to welcome Terri "home," she will be in a much better place than she currently is. We will have a new angel in heaven, and hopefully, that will bring peace to us.
I'm just so sad that it has come to this. Today I am ashamed of our so-called judicial system and our country, for allowing this to happen. Hopefully, we can all do something to ensure it never happens again.
God help us all, and God bless our sweet Terri...
The Supreme Court could refuse to hear Terri's case, could they not????
Yes....that is the sad thing
GREAT GREAT LETTER, JOANNA!!!
I think you must be a Texan at heart!!
An old saying here is "Remember the Alamo."
Now we have a new one..."Remember Terri."
NEVER FORGET. FIGHT ON FREEPERS!
Well, txrangerette, I'm going to jump all over you..........to agree. Posted this earlier:
"Disregarding politics:
The ramifications of taking custody of ANY person in such a tightly controlled hostile environment would have to be thoughtfully considered. Accepting that responsibility for someone in compromised physical condition seems foolhardy."

You said it much better and broader, but we're on the same page. We are dealing with desparate, diabolical people here.
Representative/Doctor David Weldon is going to be on Fox & Friends in a few minutes and address this very topic. I fear that those who can say from a distance...just go in and get her....don't realize what it could involve.
A nurse named Nora came forward yesterday. I think she'd the nurse from an agency that was told not to come back. She works at the hospice when called. She wouldn't sign the petition the hospice staff had going. And then she made a few statements and they asked her not to come back.
You do know that is the right word, heart-wrenching.
I went to bed at 10:30, woke up at 3:30, checked the news, and couldn't get back to sleep, though I laid back down for an hour.
Called to pray, I guess.
Congressman Weldon is coming on Fox in a few minutes and he is going to tell why he is not going to sit idly by whiel this happens....he wants the President to take Terri out of there by Federal Marshalls is what I heard earlier, he should be on after this commercial....
That was Carla Iyers.
There's still a possibility that the Florida Senate may pass their bill today at 1:00 p.m. Last I heard they need only ONE more senator to change his or her mind to vote for Terri's Law. Here's the list of contact info for the Florida Senators:

I should have put a /sarcasm after that. You do point out a valid reason not to use those words.
Thanks for being concerned about me. Freepers are the greatest!!! I have a lot to live for!
That was over there in Iraq.
The Bushes are looking at an entirely different set of circumstances here. I don't know if you have read my post #1693 or not, with all that is going on, but it lays out the scenario on a domestic basis that they are looking at if they start a violent attempt to get Terri. And I have no doubt it would be violent and bloody.
I agree with you it is a travesty to rescue the nation of Iraq but not rescue this helpless, valiant woman who is being tortured and killed. My original post best explains why they would view it very differently from a foreign war. The Courts are already ruling the Congress and the Executive.
It is already in place. Look at what the 11th circuit did. The Supremes will do it next. The public is all for Greer and Michael, because they don't have a clue. The Bushes do not want to precipitate death, injury and mayhem, maybe kill a number of Floridians as well as Federales, perhaps nurses in the Hospice, etc. etc. against the public perception, public will and judicial rulings.
In my post, I argue that something must be done in the long run, but only just now is it dawning on the Bush brothers that the threat from judges, the death lobby and public indifference is so horrific. Why, just last night, the WH was saying President Bush was resting his hopes in the 11th Circuit. What does that tell you?
He must wonder what happened to America while he was fighting terrorism, just like we wonder. And his answer will not be to set off a domestic war in Pinellas Park FL. Nor will the Governor want to do that, either. See my post for fuller explanation.
God bless you, tutstar, for all you have done and are doing...
