TAMPA, Fla. - Warning that Terri Schiavo is "fading quickly," her parents begged a federal appeals court Tuesday to order the severely brain-damaged woman's feeding tube reinserted while they pursue claims that her rights are being violated.

David Gibbs III, attorney for parents Bob and Mary Schindler, told the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta that their 41-year-old daughter might die before they get a chance to fully argue their case. The appeal came after a federal judge in Tampa rejected the parents' emergency request earlier Tuesday.
"Where, as here, death is imminent, it is hard to imagine more critical and exigent circumstances," Gibbs said in the appeal, filed electronically with the court. "Terri is fading quickly and her parents reasonably fear that her death is imminent."

Personally I think the liberals are busy playing god. When it comes down to just themselves then, they'll be doing each other in.
I think they are looking at this as a victory over conservatives. Kind of a tit for tat. Most if not all, are this shallow and unfeeling.
Notwithstanding the attempted murder rumors, I still don't see what MS has too lose by divorcing Terri and allowing her parents to care for her. It just doesn't make any kind of rational sense.
Then Michael should be investigated thoroughly for crimes against Terri...all the way back to her original condition because I believe this is the key to the whole matter. That this is not occurring speaks to complicity and corruption far beyond Michael's.
As to the Judges,, thes latest Federal Judge decision which is making this desperate appeal to the 11th Circuit necessary, is just another in a long line of aborations and corruption assiociated with Terri Shiavo. Where is it written down and notoriized...that her wishes are to die of starvation or thirst if in that position...which would violate her religious beliefs which, by all accounts, she was adamant about? It's not.
As to constitutionality of the latest decision, I say it's pure, unadulterated Bravo Sierra. This Judge could easily have ruled constitutionally that she had a right to life, which trumps all of the other legaleze and mumbo-jumbo being spouted by those who support having her killed.
Common sense has fled so many of our people, even our judges. When there is the least shred of evidence, doubt or disagreement in such a situation as this, particularly amongst direct family members who are willing to lovingly care for her...you ERR ON THE SIDE OF LIFE!
Anything short of this is an abject violation of the most fundamental principles upon which this Republic was founded.

Sadly, in this ruling and episode, as with many others of our day (ie. abortion) we are seeing exctly why Adams said this and are living out the negative of John Adams statement...right before our eyes. God bless those who are standing for life, against the culture of death. May the good Lord through His Spirit create a champion out of one of our leaders with the power and the courage and will and virture to take Terri into protective custody. May we as a people have the fortitude and the willingness, if neccessary, to stand boldly and resoultely on these principles against such conditions of our day.
I have been listening to the radio while at work today and logged onto FR as soon as I got home. I'm praying for her and her family.

If she has cash left it goes to him no? On the other side, if he divorced her he would have to pay maybe a lifetime of alimony to "her" - that is, the in-laws he's been battling for years.
I'm sure Terri's "husband" has the champagne on ice.
Sit by and let this happen Jeb Bush and George Bush - lets see what history will say of you, you have the power to stop this but do nothing - shame.
Exactly how does either President Bush or Governor Bush have the power to stop this?
God Bless this woman for trying and for having a heart! That just breaks my heart to see that bottle in her hand and not being able to give it to Terri!
