Bush ought to just pardon her. Sign an executive order commuting her death sentence. Let the lawyers argue over what it means.

If he did this, then I that would be great. I would love to see a Judge try to defy both the executive and legislative branches of government.

Terri is declared by the courts to be the property of Michael to do with her as he wishes. (Remember the courts also said that negros were lesser human beings).

What this nurse says has been around and I beieve others who have seen Terri have testified similarly. Terri is her husband's property - so forget the nurse's testimony.

Why isn't Terri being allowed to be fed ORALLY? Has her husband been permitted to cause her to deteriote? Like with insulin injections?

As far as M. Schiavo - I keep picturing Judas in The Passion of the Christ. Judas at least was sorry and tormented by his 30 pieces of silver.

Is there a biblical view of these things? (1) The right to live, (2) the right to die (3) government involvement in the death of an individual that is non-capital punishment, (4) spouse abuse, (5) secret injury leading to death, (6) government intervention in an impending wrongful death, (7) wrongful/incompetent judges

LOL! Boy, was that prophetic or what? (And I live in Florida)

Better get out of there before you float all the way to Cuba or some member in black sheets decides to croak you. B-P Yeah, I think Bugs Bunny was right, just 60 years ahead of his time. B-)

LOL! I never noticed that before, but isn't that Michael Moore terrorizing little Elian?

Due to the solemness associated with this event, I will resist the urge to post a pix of Michael Moore out of respect for the "loving" family of Terri.....

His stalling tactics clearly indicate that these fl. judges want this girl dead at all means disposable to them. He stalled it for 24 hours - that in itself was a completely deliberate act to insure she will not make it through this process. I think these judges in Fl are so dirty with this case and they know the only way to save their skins will be if she dies.

I want to know why people are starting rumors. It is so hard to find out the Truth in this case. Very frustrating.

Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Her family wants to prevent him from collecting any insurance/trust/whatever monies arising out of her death.

Her family has said he can keep all of it, every penny, if he will just turn Terri over to them to love and care for. He thumbed his nose and flipped them the bird. This is all about HIM, donchaknow, HIS pain and suffering having to live through this. HIS privacy being invaded by the media. He makes me want to puke...all over his Italian loafers.

That really didn't bear repeating.

I beg to disagree. Reno did that to kiss up to Castro.
Elian's Mother died rescuing Elian from that Communist hell hole. Rules were and are still as far as I know, that if those fleeing Cuba make it to our shores-they are given political asylum-Elian darn well made it.

could the President sign an Executive Order on this matter?

No, if a President had the right to overrule court decisions, Reagan would have overturned Roe v. Wade.

The information by Terri's nurse on Fox has thankfully (finally) been aired. How in God's name is the rest of the media not picking upon this???? Where is the NOW gang? Where are the Human Rights Activists? Where is the ACLU???Is there not even any doubt in their minds that Michael Schiavo wants Terri to die for his own self-interest? What kind of a country are we living in?????

I think the judges (and mediots) are focusing on words of the FL SC which says the brain is liquid (like water in a jar).

Essentially no hope of getting better.

The judges are passing a judicial minimum amount of life test.

Until these judges can be educated on the record to the contrary there is no judge who will under the admitted evidence.

Also a victory for the pro-rights Conservatives like me.

Since when does a husband have the right to kill his wife?

By showing that photo implies that you think the big, bad Florida government is out of control again. Using that graphic in this matter suggests that you think it was an abuse of power. That's revisionist history.

Someone please go to the back and get this boy another bolt of whole cloth! I do respect the imagination though...... ...abuse of power? How could that ever be?

There are differing explanations of what the money dispute was all about. The only thing we know for certain is

On February 14, 1993, this amicable relationship between the parties was severed. While the testimony differs on what may or may not have been promised to whom and by whom, it is clear to this court that the severance was predicated upon money and the fact that Mr. Schiavo was unwilling to equally divide his loss of consortium award with Mr. and Mrs. Schindler.

Elian was and still is a minor child. He has a father...that would have been jailed had he failed to send child support. He would have his paycheck garnished. His tax refund check would be intercepted...because HE IS THE BOYS FATHER!

Those are a father's duties according to our laws. With duties comes PARENTAL RIGHTS...not aunts and uncles rights.

Father wanted him returned. End of story.

Carla Iyer's description today differs somewhat from her 2003 affadavit. In particular, there is no mention of finding the insulin bottle in the trash can. Her affadavit indicates the insulin issue happened numerous times. affadavit
