Just heard on Fox....so sad.
If a death row inmate or some perp serving life was in the exact same medical condition, the 'State' would not be allowed to remove a feeding tube. He'd be kept alive 'forever'. That is a FACT.
And only once, yesterday on FNC, did I hear a Rep (R) from Iowa(?) bring up that little fact.
So forget all the due process stuff, that has been 'decided' (maybe) - it's Equal Protection under the law that is being denied Terri.

Terri Schiavo is a living, breathing monument to the wrongs MS commits.
He has to have her not only dead but burned up and thrown to the wind so he can "move along"
Living, Terri is the focus of his life. He has to be on guard constantly that none may save her. She is the pivotal center of his existance. Everything he does revolves around her,,keeping her from being helped, watching her and knowing what he did, not being able to have anything that might be found out.
He must be constantly worried that someone somewhere knows the truth and it may out. If she is dead, burned and scattered, maybe he can "move along"
Why should I have to do that? Am I not allowed to express an opinion, even an unpopular one? I thought that was the purpose of Free Republic, to discuss opinions.
Granted, but you have to know that this is a gut-wrenching issue for many people here. Rights aren't without responsibility and sometimes the responsible (and human)thing to do is to wait until those your trying to have an intellectual discussion with aren't preoccupied with something they consider more important. Surely you're intelligent enough to figure out that things are pretty intense right now and this might not be the best time to exercise your "rights", it's called compassion.
Besides, individual rights (Teri's) count for something, too. Yes, her husband and HIS family say Teri said she wouldn't want to live like this...but it was a casual conversation in a restaurant after visiting a sick relative. And, Teri's friends and family, who should at least be given a chance to speak in court (after all if she were on trial for murder, the defense would be able to put on a case in her behalf) tell a different story.
The other troubling issue is not allowing medical testimony from 14 other doctors into the record, who disagree with the 4 the judge chose to include(3 of whom are hand-picked by the husband), especially when you consider that some are considered the best in the field of neurology. If Teri IS PVS, then a few more weeks to perform these test aren't going to matter one wit to her. If, however, she's NOT and she's allowed to die, then there will be a grave miscarriage of justice.

The didn't use starvation and dehydration though because it was not humane. Gas chambers and lethal injections were the prefered method.

Exactly, he is one evil person. Peterson got the death penalty for choosing to get rid of his wife instead of divorce and now this guy refuses to leave her be and divorce her, my goodness.
I cant imagine how he can live with his conscience knowing what he has done.

Do you know what hospice is for? It's for people who are terminally ill. Terri has been in there for 15 years now. I wouldn't call that terminal unless you take the viewpoint that life is terminal disease. Hospice is not an appropriate place for her. If you wanted someone to at least try to recover, you would place them somewhere else. Hospice is where you would ship someone off to when you expect them to die. Numerous nurses have testifed that they were ordered by Michael to give Terri no rehabilitative care. You don't think that is neglect?

If Bill's medical condition worsens making him bedridden and requiring life support, Would Hillary remove his life support or let Bill die "peacefully" after two weeks without nourishment/hydration? Perhaps, before he spends the rest of eternity in hell.
