Continuation of Terri Schiavo daily March threads. Due to overwhelming participation we reached over 5000 posts in three days time!
According to Michael's other attorney Deborah Bushnell, Terri was delcared indigent. Medicade pays for her medication and hospice claims to pay for the rest of the expenses. My question is why was Terri declared indigent when she had well over $700,000 in her medical trust fund set aside for her care.
Folks, as relieved as we all are that President Bush and Congress pulled through last night - we need to keep in mind that the judiciary in this country is out-of-control.
If this new judge rules against Terri's best interests, the writing is on the wall!
And it is our duty to apply strong pressure to the president and the legislature to counter-balance the judiciary.
In this case involving Terri, the president can use the power of executive order as there has historically been flexible leverage involved in utilizing this approach.
If this judge flaunts the Constitution protecting life, liberty and happiness and if this judge refuses to give Terri her time to be seen and heard - and President Bush fails to act - we ought to all scream very loudly.
I love Bush. I voted for Bush. But I love justice. The best presidents are those with true grit to do what's right even if it costs them favor with an opposing party.
Legally he can't do a thing.. and according to my sources he is still hiding...no phone calls, no emails...
Dave...can we get back to Terri, please? I know you mean well, but right now we have enough to contend with! ;-)
So far what I've read he seems God fearing.
Anyone else have any info?
I think Scoop has found the tip of a very large large iceberg.
All the ingredients in one convenient state chock full of elderly, wealthy retirees.
I am praying to see lots of judges and attorneys book passage on that Titanic.
have no clue what you're talking about

Contact Jeb Bush and get the DCF & State Troopers to get Terri to Hospital ASAP...
We can move on many, many fronts at the SAME Time.
The law is specific that the certificate of terminal illness must be signed by two physicians.
The initial certificate of terminal illness to move Terri Schiavo to the Woodside Hospice did not comply with either federal and state law and seems to indicate that her five-year long stay was done unlawfully and would constitute both Medicare and Medicaid fraud if the Woodside Hospice, operated by Hospice of Suncoast Florida under the direction of CEO Mary Labyak has been the recipient of state and federal funds without the proper certification.
There is no hospital insurance paying the costs and with Greer granting Schiavos request for Medicaid, it appears a significant case of fraud may exist.
Felos failed to disclose his position as chairman of the Hospice board to the court, then resigning in 2001 amid public pressure and scrutiny after he and Schiavo had surreptitiously moved Terri to the facility without court authorization in April, 2000, reportedly as a result of arrangements made by Felos. By moving her to a facility where Felos was chairman of the board, all of Terris caregivers were presumably under the total control of Felos and his client
Yep.....what other state has so many retirees, per capita, moving there in droves?
Scoop...you from Krypton, by any chance?
Indeed... remember the Nazis and their numerous "subhuman" categories they deemed unworthy of living? I wonder at what stage these worthies would have thought life "was not worth living" for my handicapped first wife?
I can't speak for Terri, and since she left no reliable instructions with a trustworthy person, neither can anyone else. But I do know that death is permanent, and for now, we can err on the side of life. There's always time for dying later.
Thank you.
In regard to being indigent, I want to know that too. Did he sign any affidavits under oath---oh yeah, I forgot, George Greer, Michael Schiavo, George Felos are exempt from Florida Statutes
Rom 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
wish I were, not invincible---need sleep bad. A meal wouldn't hurt either. Now a shower I got
