According to Michael's other attorney Deborah Bushnell, Terri was delcared indigent. Medicade pays for her medication and hospice claims to pay for the rest of the expenses. My question is why was Terri declared indigent when she had well over $700,000 in her medical trust fund set aside for her care.

The law is specific that the certificate of terminal illness must be signed by two physicians.

The initial certificate of terminal illness to move Terri Schiavo to the Woodside Hospice did not comply with either federal and state law and seems to indicate that her five-year long stay was done unlawfully and would constitute both Medicare and Medicaid fraud if the Woodside Hospice, operated by Hospice of Suncoast Florida under the direction of CEO Mary Labyak has been the recipient of state and federal funds without the proper certification.

There is no hospital insurance paying the costs and with Greer granting Schiavo’s request for Medicaid, it appears a significant case of fraud may exist.

Felos failed to disclose his position as chairman of the Hospice board to the court, then resigning in 2001 amid public pressure and scrutiny after he and Schiavo had surreptitiously moved Terri to the facility without court authorization in April, 2000, reportedly as a result of arrangements made by Felos. By moving her to a facility where Felos was chairman of the board, all of Terri’s caregivers were presumably under the total control of Felos and his client

In regard to being indigent, I want to know that too. Did he sign any affidavits under oath---oh yeah, I forgot, George Greer, Michael Schiavo, George Felos are exempt from Florida Statutes

Was Terri declared indigent at a time when there was over $700k in her trust fund? It is possible---under the obscure rule that reads, "Never steal anything small." But most likely the trust monies were spent (or attached) before that. What I find patently impossible is that Terri, being Michael's legal wife, could be indigent while he had a job and enough money to pay for a home, a hussy and two babies. I don't know FL law but would think a wife can't be indigent while a husband has assets and income. The big question that never seems to get answered is, how on earth is he paying George Felos? (Or if he isn't, why not?)

That reminds me. An attorney for Terri might find cause to sue Jodi the Huss for a number of things.

That's the million dollar or in this case seven hundred thousand dollar question.
