This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.

You should've heard him talk about Saddam. He and another congressmen had a special order speech on night and they laid out about 2 hrs of reasons why the Iraq war was the right thing to do......I'm trying to find it.

I think this is about preventing parents from overruling spouses and domestic partners. I think this is really a gay rights issue about how (and by whom) AIDS patients will be treated in their final stages.
