This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.

I find it nothing less than amazing that what started out as a small story in FreeRepublic just a few years back has now turned into a quite serious debate in the House of Representatives on Palm Sunday evening.

can cause it to be tossed into federal district court no matter what the " written advance directive valid under applicable law that clearly authorized the withholding or withdrawal of food or fluids or medical treatment in the applicable circumstances. says.

Basically if anyone connected disputes your advance directive, it goes to Federal court.
