UNITED NATIONS — Faced with two high-profile scandals that have shaken confidence in the United Nations, Secretary-General Kofi Annan (search) is proposing a set of sweeping changes — including the expansion of the Security Council.

For any changes at the UN to have any credibility, Kofi's resignation AND replacement with an untainted individual must be at the top of the agenda.
Don't forget his son Kojo and his scandals as well.
Kofi will only say or do as much as he needs to 'do' to appear to be doing 'something' without really doing anything.
Kofi, his son and the rest of the U.N. imbeciles -- are all alike... Thieves caught with chickens under their coat --- claiming they don't know how they got there...but want another chance to steal without being caught...
The U.N. as it was meant to be -- is dead...
You can NOT give Turd World thugs respectablity they haven't earned....

Why can't some of Annans "friends" do something right and just blow up that monstrosity sitting in NY?
Sweeping changes.....not a bad idea......let's sweep them off of our shores.....right into the ocean.... just my opinion.
Sweeping changes should provide more than enough ground cover for Koffi to continue stealing money from the world. Anybody falling for his crocodile tears is a fool. Koffi needs to go to the World Jail.
The only 'sweeping' change of any real consequence would be to broom that lot of tin-horn socialist rats right out the country.
I'll believe it when Annan and the UN agree to OUTSIDE AUDITS of the UN's books.

Well, I propose we sweep that crook out of the U.N. at the same time we sweep the U.N. out the United States as we sweep ourselves out of the U.N. That is what I consider a sweeping change.
Isn't this U.N. under Annan trying to put U.S. military troops under the rule of the international court?
How about the U.N. troops raping weman and children in Africa? Shoudn't these troops face serious punishment?
How about all the theft of monies meant for humanitarian purposes that have been stolen by U.N. folks? Shuldn't they be incarcerated for these actions?
HOw about Mr. Annan himself? Shouldn't he be incarcerated for graft, corruption, theft, and helping so many jdictators around the world?
