And I could be wrong .. but I believe the USSC didn't hear the case ..

The case was brought to the USSC and they dropped it back into the Florida courts hands because they didn't want to trample on Florida's Laws and Florida State Constitution.

OK. I understand. I got on my soapbox about the Schindlers, didn't I? (Didn't I just say the other day that I was NOT going to do that?) I guess this case really hits home to so many and there are a great deal of emotions on both sides. I even told Hildy that she had a good point- Living wills are very important. Michael went back to school and became a respiratory therapist after Terri became PVS in order to learn how to better care for her. And someone asked me what he did previously and I said he worked in a restaurant, IIRC.

He was a restaurant manager.

He's a respiratory therapist now.

I read this as needing NO dispute AND a written order -

otherwise any " individual who has some significant relationship" can toss it to the Federal District Court.

I don't know if the Feds can just say no or not at that point.
