Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.
If I screwed up, mod please pull the post.
I think the pubbies are starting to do what dems have been doing on C-Span for a while: Call in C-Span pretending to be a member of the other party.
I've seen death by aneurysm...my mother died of a coronary aneurysm....very very quick. She was restless and vaguely uncomfortable but sleepy, cause she had been given some meds to help her relax, then suddenly she said, "I can't handle this," spasmed and died. Very quick, not much pain.
Compare that to the days of being parched and hungry, of having one's tongue swell up, of seizures, swallowing and breathing difficulties...
How dare someone compare the two?
"...and the parents have engaged in tactics that should be prosecuted, to the fullest..."
And can be, if they did, in fact, break the law. But how can they be prosecuted if the evidence is cremated? What you say doesn't help Michael's cause. It helps the parents'. They're all but daring him to sue them or file charges. But if he cremates her body, then he destroys the evidence to ever prosecute them. Why would he do that?
Are you saying that Clearwater is not an appealing city despite its attractive name?
I alerted the mod. Let him take care of it. I have to run.
I caught all that, but I don't know who the "we" is in this statement.
It would have been fine with me, but I'm sure that they, like many of us, can't believe that Florida didn't handle it. That said, meeting this morning would have been a waste of time, and THAT was your original gripe on this thread.
Does the current dispute mean that most Democrats will lobby for a "unless ya wanna kill your wife" exclusion to the Americans with Disabilities Act?
Yes. I would think so. It's like they have no "moral compass", meaning sense of direction, ----whatever feels good is good to the xxxMoore generation....
Didn't that last caller sound like MS? the one before Minnesota
Well, I don't consider it an abuse. I offer my advice most cordially. This is not meant to be a flame.
I think the judge feels that he is above scrutinty in part because he was reelected with 65 perdent of the vote in 2004. This judge will never back down.
I understand why many are worried about Congress getting involved
I am too
But I am also concerned of the slipper slop Judge Geer has set
What I don't understand is the fear that some have that the Govt. would interfere with their own private wishes. My take on this legislature is IF there is no living will or directive and family members are in disagreement.
All it takes is writing down one's wishes. Simple.
I've been hearing on my local, many dems calling who are upset with the tube being pulled
This issue with Terri is not a one party issue
It crosses both sides of the isle and both sides of the issue
Like most cases of a high profile nature, efforts are made to prevent such things as grave robbing, public memorials that would affect the operation of a internment facility and the like.
All physical evidence is a matter of court records, numerous investigations and documents..
None of which show wrong doing. The only things that do that are conjectural pieces on the web that have created a ballyhoo in the absence of any defense against it for privacy concerns..IMHO
You maybe right, but the Feds, if they want to, can unleash a hell of scrutiny on this guy, and from a couple of reports here that indicate there is a cabal of self-interest surrounding the lawyer and the hospice outfit, it could be enough to get this guy to step down.
Santorum now leading the Senate in prayer, starting the session...
RICK IS UP NOW ON THE SENATE FLOOR!!!
