Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.
That's absurd. Prove that.
Have you? Congress is clearly able to screw up anything they get their hands on. What not living wills. Assisted Suicide is illegal, why wouldnt a bunch of screwball congress critters invalidate living wills?
Ah, it's clear now. We are only supposed to be worried and concerned about things that you deem worthy. I get it now.....obviously you cannot multi-task well! /s
I will give them plenty of manuvering room, if they can just get the job done somehow, and save Terri.
Where are those HUMAN RIGHTS people?
Looking for more imaginary abuse?
Don't be surprised. Just remember that most folks don't believe one word out of the MSM anymore. They are basically irrelevant. They also are dying a slow death. Maybe that is why they want Terri to join them. Misery loves company.
Somebody needs to be finding a way to tie that arrogant b*stard's hands and decisively have anybody with ties to the Florida death brigade severed from this case. In addition, the plan needs to include removal of Schiavo as guardian, based on adultery, conflict of interests and failing to cmply with the statutes regarding guardianship in the state of Florida.
For too long we have been sliding towards a dictatorship of judges. Incredible how they can make laws and disregard laws and even declare that an innocent person is to be starved to death. If only Terri had commited some horrible crime, she would have received a pass.
Changing from "may" to "shall"
What other choice do we have?
I hope I didn't sound like I didn't support the effort. I was just adding details I'd heard on Fox.
Yes, the part of this that is astounding is that they are not disconnecting a ventilator or stopping antibiotics. What they are doing is actively killing a woman. A feeding tube as we all know is not a unusual life lengtening heroic measure. People have feeding tubes all the time with the expectation that they survive. It is not an extreme measure. What is extreme is that they are not even trying to give her water or IV alimentation. They are actively killing her as sure as if they gave her a lethal injection.
I've used a similar argument in rebutting the "quality of life," abortion crowd...you know, 'better to abort than condem a child to a life of poverty, disease and squalor, etc.'
Suggest nuking sub-Saharan Africa to *save* people from living under the very same circumstances, and these idiots go, well...nuclear!
good for you for calling fox news. If we can't get both sides of the story from the "we report you decide" people, then what are they good for?
If she was Subpoened by Congress...doesnt that mean that they cant let her die??
Or is this legally technically not killing her, just "Removing the feeding tube"
Oh yeah tahts another thing...CNN and MSNBC are using "Removing the feeding tube"
Fox has gone with the more appropriate "Killing"
Did the Fl. legislature pass a law protecting Terri and then the judge struck it down as unconstitutional?
Or did they not pass it? Confused.
You misunderstand my feelings on Terri. I want her to be with her parents. I just think this should have been solved a long, long time ago. The fact that her husband never allowed her any therapy, never allowed the blinds to be opened in her room so she could see the light of day, and those sorts of things , to me, is criminal.
