Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.
Well, thank God the Senate is going to convene. They must accomplish something for this woman before Monday.
If I may: it astounds me to no end that Michael Schiavo is addressed by the media as Terri's husband with no acknowledgement whatsoever that he is her husband in name only. This man has a common-law wife and two children by her. I am stupified (is that a word?) by the further reality that Terri has never had an MRI. It is stunning beyond comprehension that a U.S. Judge has ordered removal of life-sustaining food from a HUMAN BEING that has not even received a full range of neurological tests.
Yall will forgive me for shouting, but, this case really tares it. Peace
IMO, it is judicial insanity.
As long as they can get Greer off this case. The man is an out of control sadist! Glad he dumped the Baptist Church. I used to be a Baptist and there are great people in that faith. Having Greer attend Baptist Church is an afront to everything decent. What a creep. GET HIM OFF THIS CASE!!!!!!!!!!!
Greer has been planning this killing for many years, he's got all the tactical details worked out pretty well.
You probably don't know this, but Mr. Schiavo has no power in this anymore. There's nothing he can do.
The law doesn't seem to be stopping Greer. Frankly, I am tired of hearing this excuse for lack of backbone. Jeb Bush is in charge of the state police, the state's attorney general. He is the head law officer. He could very easily write an executive order protecting Terri's right to life and send the state militia to her bedside to prevent the removal of the feeding tube. He has just as much power, if not more, than the judge in this case. But he, like his spineless brother in the White House, refuses to do anything. Shame!
See ya around FR.
Fat puke is having his cocktail hour interrupted.
Bring it on, Chappaquidick Ted.
Three words pal:
Try the decaf.
We'll, it's not you starving and dehydrating, so I guess you can say that.
Today on CNN, an Anchor (Not sure who) went from talking about the peterson case as such "Laci and her Fetus"
to
Ms. Schiavo will surely die as the feeding tube was the only thing that was keeping her going
CNN BIAS ALERT!
Fox just showed some protesters in front of the Hospice being arrested. Looked like a guy in a Harley leather jacket.
Does anyone know the family members of the police who are arresting them? If their family members talk with them by cell phone, couldn't the police risk their job, but do what is right and stop arresting??
Waiting until 5PM and the hours of legislation afterwards...Terri is thirsty NOW.
I believe there are plenty of people in comatose states, who breathe on their own, yet are fed by feeding tubes.
Caribou indeed. Yes. Where are the bleeding heart liberal Democrats, indeed. Yes, indeedy, where?
Yes, I always think of the courts as part of the government.
You are absolutely correct.
A federal court can review issues of due process under the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments. A state judge is not immune from federal judicial review in these areas.
The allegation would be that Greer is depriving Terri of her right to life under the 5th and 14th Amendments without due process of law, in that he has ignored all evidence that would go against his PVS conclusion, and has refused to hear any of it. The affidavits submitted the other day by all those neurologists were just plain ignored.
"I don't anyone feeding that girl !!!"
"The law of the case is that she will die."
