Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.

If an MRI truly cannot be done because of the implant (not yet ascertained), there is still the option of removing the implant and/or PET.

By the same token, why don't we just kill all paraplegics, quadriplegics, people who had strokes, get Alzheimer's, or other neurological diseases, not to mention cancer and so on.

Let's just select the one who are "fit" mentally and physically, as defined by some judges, and kill everyone else?

I am being sarcastic, of course, but the extension is not that far, from Terri's case. She left NO living will and she is NOT on life support -- she is merely being given food.

All the above mentioned disable people can't feed themselves, so let's just kill them all. I am sure that is the precedence the "death culture" people are trying to establish, using poor Terri as their unwitting victim.

I don't know who, but I do remember that several people claimed that doctors said she has spinal fluid where parts of her brain is supposed to be, which was refuted by a neurologist's testimony.

Thanks for Dr. Hammesfahr's affidavit. The PVS diagnosis that has been given poor Terri Schiavo is the lie that Judge Greer has been keeping in a persistent vegetative state. He has done everything in his power to deny evidence that is contrary to what the Woodside Hospice doctors, who are in favor of euthanasia, are trying to fool the country into believing.

Though I can understand others concerns about having congress step in on this case

And Though I may not like it if they state in a living will or whatever to have the plug pulled .. I would respect their wishes

But by allowing Judge Geer and Michael Schaivo to do this to Terry, when there is only hear say from Michael's brother .. which in a normal court would not be allowed

It would depend on what kind of metal, I would assume a biocompatible, non ferrous alloy. The bigger problem could be that eddy currents induced in the metal could make it heat up in the intense fluctuating magnetic fields in an MRI. You wouldn't want her to suffer a brain sizzle.
