Just heard on Fox that U.S. Senate will convene today in emergency session regarding Terri Schiavo.
I'm a mother and all I see in this case is a mother and daughter in a situation too horrible to imagine. I believe that A REAL MAN witnessing this situation would do ANYTHING to defend these women. Thank God for Real Men like President Bush and Tom Delay!!
In a death camp. THat is what a hospice is. No treatment, no training, no interaction. Worse than a gulag. She could have been at home all these years.
I am going to to bed.
If a child tells you they no longer want to live, can you kill them ?
Can we kill all the elderly Alzheimer's patients (they cost so much money to maintain) ?
LOL! Yes, and it only took four posts before the word NAZI emerged!
"Catherine Crier stated on Geraldo that Terri's best friend (?) testified that Terri said those were her wishes. I was not aware of that."
It's incorrect. A lot of incorrect statements are made on TV, including by newsreporters and commentators, and they also don't correct totally erroneous statements made by others.
There was a guy on Geraldo going on and on about respecting Terri's wishes, and Geraldo did not challenge him, that Terri left no clear wishes and there is only hearsay evidence by people who have an interest in seeing Terri dead.
Check out the Florida law on this. I am so glad AndrewC posted it:

I wonder how many of them believed it when they read it over thier heads as they entered?
Ask them or find the exception in the law. I can't find it. Here are the references in the Florida law. Find the hearsay criteria used to allow the hearsay.
90.801 Hearsay; definitions; exceptions. 90.802 Hearsay rule. 90.803 Hearsay exceptions; availability of declarant immaterial. 90.804 Hearsay exceptions; declarant unavailable.
You didn't answer my question and your answer had nothing to do with what we're talking about. Are you drinking?
Are you a Florida lawyer?
I would think the prospect of killing this Gentile Catholic woman using the criteria of Nazi Germany policies would not make you laugh. I guess I figured you for a different person.
My 10 year old son said the hospice she is in sounded like a giant coffin.
Well, I just figured you for a person, so I guess we're even.
I never answer the questions of Arabs who want to kill Jews either.
Are you drinking?
I'm tasting your hypocrisy.
I sure as hell don't support it, I'm not a lawyer, but I'm a pro-life Conservative. I believe Congress will set a dangerous precedent for the future by being inserted into this equation.
Further, your statement is a bit of irony. Congress is mainly made up of lawyers. LOL
No
I know the difference between good and evil, light and darkness.
We are not even.
No worries. WE THE PEOPLE will bring it on.
oookay...I'm headed back to planet Earth right now. See ya.
Do you know if FL has a common law marriage statute? Hasn't Michael S been/lived w his girlfriend for at least 7 years (not sure how old their children are). If there is such a law, wouldn't that make him a bigamist? And, if so, can anything be done along those lines?
In my reading, I think that it was revoked.
