Terri Schiavo: 'I Waaaannt [To Live]'
Newsmax via Hannity ^ | Mar 18,2005 | Newsmax Staff

A mentally disabled woman whose court ordered starvation-execution began Friday attempted to contradict her estranged husband's claim that she wants to die hours before her feeding tube was disconnected, an eyewitness is claiming.

Barbara Weller, an attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, told reporters Friday afternoon that during her visit earlier in the day she told Ms. Schiavo:

"Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over."

According to pro-life activist Randall Terry, who recounted the scene to radio host Sean Hannity, Schiavo tried desperately to repeat Weller's words.

"'I waaaaannt . . .' Schiavo allegedly said, in a prolonged yell that had police stationed nearby running into her hospice room.

"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Terry said, according to Weller's account.

At that point police ejected Weller, he said.

Wow - that video is shocking! It shows that her parents' account of her condition is right on the money. She's aware of her surroundings and of what is being said to her.

Thanks for sharing it - and why the heck isn't it being shown on Fox?

I find it amazing, actually, that the mere fact that she made any noise at all in response to a query doesn't give pause to the "kill Terri" crowd.

She's a living, breathing human being. They think she should be starved to death.

It's mind-boggling. Where the hell are peoples' consciences?

Whether she was going to say 'I want to live' or 'I want to die' still indicates she is NOT brain dead.

Exactly.

I'll bet a good half the country still thinks she's "brain dead", however. Or a "vegetable". It's chilling.

What the hell kind of "vegetable" can speak at all?

"You are putting the words that you want to hear in her mouth." Maybe so, but your response is the exact same thing you are accusing me of. Checkmate?

No. I said that she did not complete her statement and I am questioning the title of the thread. The words "To Live" are actually inserted there when she never said them. NO CHECKMATE FOR YOU!!

There is a judge in Florida who is paralyzed from the neck up

There's a Governor in Florida who could get his ass on an airplane and get over there. The cops sure as hell aren't going to screw with him.

The judge has prohibited all taping of Terri.

" Whether she was going to say 'I want to live' or 'I want to die' still indicates she is NOT brain dead."

How can you argue that she is in a 'persistant vegetative state' and also argue that she COULD have resonded 'I want to die'.

Is she brain dead or isn't she?

Make up you mind!

Screw the judge, there are times when you must go beyond the law to prove your case.

Yeah it's like a hellish veil has been pulled over the eyes of people. That's the most freakish thing about the case. I mean with the husband's new common law wife and kids, etc...what are people thinking?? I never thought the American legal system would embrace a zombified killing machine mindset. In fact maybe that's why most people never really got excited about the case until now.

What of reports that, when told she needed to get up or she would die in that bed, that she tried to get out of the bed, which she is, of course, incapable of doing due to atrophy of her muscles?

"The judge has prohibited all taping of Terri."

This is more insane than I realized... I wonder what the consequences would have been to defy the order..because there is no way I would have NOT done it. ;-p

Pinging a couple others who have knowledge and influence.

Please, e-mail the video and bone scan report to your senators. Lift the links from my letter, which I just sent to my own senators:

Dear Sen. X,

A March 7, 1991 bone scan, which you can view at
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1364098/posts?page=145#145 ,
shows a "history of trauma" to Terri Schiavo's bones. Clearly, this casts doubt on her husband Michael's treatment of her, and may even provide a clue as to why she entered the state she's in. Judge Greer ruled the scan as merely "interesting" (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1364098/posts?page=607#607 ), but not worth pursuing.

TERRI SCHIAVO IS NOT A VEGETABLE! SEE HER IN THIS VIDEO LAUGHING AT JOKES:

http://www.hedgersoftware.com/terrilaughs.wmv

WHY IS SHE BEING SUBJECTED TO A SLOW, MISERABLE DEATH?

If you truly care about womens' rights, Sen. X, I implore you to lend your voice in support of this very special woman, and plead her cause before it's too late.

Sincerely,

xyz

The fact that she can say ANYTHING is proof enough that she is no longer in a vegetative state, and this can not be done to her without her informed consent.

All of Terri's relatives were searched before entering her room.

They couldn't get even a cellphone with a camera in after the court order by Greer.

I wish they could have recorded that.

Of course she wants to live. What a sick government we have.

If this is indeed even true, what makes you think she was trying to say that she wanted to live?

she did not say this until she was told that the tube was going to be removed. If she wanted to die, Don't you think she would have just said thanks. If she wanted to die don't you think she would have been saying I waaannnt... everytime someone came into the room.

It is clear that those trying to save Terri are willing to say anything. I just don't believe it.

If this were true, it'd be all we'd see on the news.
