Terri Schiavo: 'I Waaaannt [To Live]'
Newsmax via Hannity ^ | Mar 18,2005 | Newsmax Staff

A mentally disabled woman whose court ordered starvation-execution began Friday attempted to contradict her estranged husband's claim that she wants to die hours before her feeding tube was disconnected, an eyewitness is claiming.

Barbara Weller, an attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, told reporters Friday afternoon that during her visit earlier in the day she told Ms. Schiavo:

"Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over."

According to pro-life activist Randall Terry, who recounted the scene to radio host Sean Hannity, Schiavo tried desperately to repeat Weller's words.

"'I waaaaannt . . .' Schiavo allegedly said, in a prolonged yell that had police stationed nearby running into her hospice room.

"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Terry said, according to Weller's account.

At that point police ejected Weller, he said.

His affadavit, if you trust his words,

http://www.terrisfight.org/documents/Hammesfahr%20Aff%20060101.pdf

proves that CAT and MRI scans WERE done on Terri.

From - http://www.libertytothecaptives.net/order_nov_22_2002.html

"He testified that he has treated about 50 patients in the same or worse condition than Terry [sic] Schiavo since 1994 but he offered no names, no case studies, no videos and no tests results to support his claim that he had success in all but one of them. If his therapy is as effective as he would lead this court to believe, it is inconceivable that he would not produce clinical results of these patients he has treated."

Good morning.

"So does my Venus Flytrap..."

Your plant isn't a human being who may be more aware than her husband would like us to believe.

So, is your plant named Seymour?

Why doesn't he just give custodial rights to her parents?

Because he probably doesn't want her to ever regain her sppech and tell someone what really happened to her to put her in her condition. The guy is a slime-sucking murdering bastard.

A doctor who is a congressman who put a bill out last year on protecting the incapacitated person, said that when she fell ill, she was actually in rehabilitation to learn how to walk,e tc. Her husband put a stop to all rehabilitation and she went downhill from there. She ended up getting a stroke which put her in the state she's in.

He says that her husband has ordered an immediate cremation upon her death with NO atopsy. What is he hiding? Did he have anything to do with her stroke and the state she is in now?

The doctor thinks that with therapy she can show great improvement.

Interesting case... many parallels - http://www.angelfire.com/ca7/robertsangels/LATimes071801.html

"Since 1995, Rose and Florence Wendland have been on opposing sides in courtroom battles over Robert. Rose, Robert's legal conservator, and her three children said Robert would have wanted to die in his condition. Florence Wendland insisted that he would have opted for life.

Doctors considered Robert Wendland minimally conscious. He could not eat, drink, walk or talk, but he could respond to simple commands. He could not communicate his wishes, and no one knew for certain his level of awareness.

His wife and children said he never recognized them after the accident or communicated any ability to understand his surroundings. His mother said he would kiss her hand and cry during visits."

Coupla years ago I found the whole thing in the New England Journal of Euthanasia, I mean Medicine, and read it.

Best parts were the letters from other physicians writing in about it.

Amazing. Let Terry speak. Let the world hear her. Let her at least be seen.

Moreover, I think her torturous and horrific starvation should be video recorded so we all know how despicable of a death this judge and her adulterous husband have demanded of her.

I think the world should know that if a judge or doctor rules that your loved one's feeding tube must be removed this is how your loved one will suffer. Perhaps, someday, we will treat innocent humans as well as we do endangered species.

If they'd asked, "Do you want your parents to stop interfering?" and she said, "I waaaaaaaaaaaaant," the anti-Schiavo/pro-Schindler crowd would be crying that Mrs. Schiavo was trying to contradict the question, not confirm it. They'd say: "She was saying 'I waaaaaaaant to live'"

Well, they've tried hours and hours of videotaping her, and have been able to extract a few clips from that to make it seem like she's reacting appropriately to a few stimuli (note that people in a persistent vegetative state commonly respond to external stimuli and randomly laugh, grimace, cry, etc.) So the anti-"Terri" crowd has done a great job to date at making it seem like she has higher functioning...don't knock them too much.

And people hear what they want to hear, and I seriously doubt that there were words coming out, rather than utterances...especially since the claim is contradicted by the policeman who was right there.

But the truth doesn't matter to those who care not about Mrs. Schiavo's rights or the sanctity of marriage against parental and legal interference.
