A mentally disabled woman whose court ordered starvation-execution began Friday attempted to contradict her estranged husband's claim that she wants to die hours before her feeding tube was disconnected, an eyewitness is claiming.
Barbara Weller, an attorney for Terri Schiavo's parents, told reporters Friday afternoon that during her visit earlier in the day she told Ms. Schiavo:
"Terri, if you would just say, 'I want to live,' - all of this will be over."
According to pro-life activist Randall Terry, who recounted the scene to radio host Sean Hannity, Schiavo tried desperately to repeat Weller's words.
"'I waaaaannt . . .' Schiavo allegedly said, in a prolonged yell that had police stationed nearby running into her hospice room.
"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Terry said, according to Weller's account.
At that point police ejected Weller, he said.
Michael feigns being a Roman Catholic, a religion which is devoted to the Right to Life, utterly opposed to euthanasia.

I appreciate it. But at this most critical moment somebody should have had the foresight to record this and get it out to the media.

Please try to avoid using the despicable actions of one member of a group to denigrate an entire group. This is elementary.

It seems Terri's crime for which she's being killed is that she simply can't enunciate proper English sentences.
A grunt should be as good as an illiterate person signing an X on a legal document.

I see your point. Since we don't know exactly what she was trying to say, we should just assume she wants to die, and kill her.
We MUST err on the side of death in all cases. That's the moral way.
Her parents were the ones trying to get her to say she wants to live before being rudely escorted away by Judge Greer's gunmen.

The irony here is the fact that she SPOKE when asked the question!
Whether she was going to say 'I want to live' or 'I want to die' still indicates she is NOT brain dead.
