Greer gives order
hi, sc, felos on his press conference is turning it around, expressing righteous indignation that Congress has overstepped its bounds, and calling it a political ploy . . . he knows how to play it. They are all well practiced bullies.
I agree.
Why is it so hard to determine medically what her brain function is??? Is the husband an arch manipulator of the whole medical establishment?
What a disparity of stories about one woman's rather consistent state, it seems.
Sorry 'bout that. I had assumed you meant Delay, who is Catholic.
At least proud American, they jailed Robert Latimer for killing his disabled daughter. He thought he had a right to put her out of her misery. Went to trial, was convicted, appealed, conviction upheld. He's sitting in jail right now. In the case of Schiavo, there is even a lot of suspicious circumstances involving HIM in how Terri became disabled in the first place. This is really a terrible situation. The Government has the ability to Shine or take a mud bath!!
Boxer blocked a vote in the Senate? (just heard on Michael Savage)
I want to see Judge Greer pay a HUGE PRICE for what he has done. And BTW here's something you don't seem to understand, JUDGE GREER, YOU ARROGANT PIECE OF SLIME, YOU ARE NOT ALMIGHTY GOD!!!!!!
Felos is such a slimy bastard.
AMEN. I gotta leave the office TA. BBL Greer SHOULD be afraid, the Federal Government had BETTER make him afraid but he ought to be PETRIFIED to face GOD ALMIGHTY!!
House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) today delivered the following remarks at a press availability on the House of Representatives' efforts to save the life of Terri Schiavo:
"It is now one o'clock on the East Coast, the time preordained by a Florida state judge to allow for denial of food and water to Terri Schiavo. This act of barbarism can be, and must be, prevented. The Senate has before it the Protection of Incapacitated Persons Act of 2005. This bill is the right thing to do. Unfortunately, they have chosen to adjourn rather than pass it.
"Those senators responsible for blocking the bill yesterday afternoon, Senators Boxer, Wyden, and Levin, have put Mrs. Schiavo's life at risk to prove a point - an unprecedented profile in cowardice. The American people are not interested in squabbles between Republicans and Democrats, or between the House and Senate. They care, and we care, about saving Terri Schiavo's life. The House bill will do that.
"Terri Schiavo is alive. She is not 'barely alive.' She is not 'being kept alive.' She is as alive as you or I, and as such we have a moral obligation to protect and defend her from the fate premeditated by the Florida courts. This is not over. We are still working, so are Mrs. Schiavo's lawyers, and so is the Florida state legislature. This is not over.
"To friends, family, and millions of people praying around the world this Palm Sunday weekend: do not be afraid. Terri Schiavo will not be forsaken."

I heard about that report but that's the first I've seen of it. Thank you.
"Praying for her from Poland..."
Okay, I couldn't resist checking one last time for any posts to me.
And your post made me so happy! Thank you for your prayers!
I've got to log off, but before I do: my grandfather (Czechoslovakian) could speak pure Polish--this was in the 1940's, 1950's of of of Chicago neighborhoods, etc. :)
Mail me anytime!
And ... darn it. if I could get off the phone line to ask my dad what "thank you" is in Polish I would. However I'm on the computer.
So here's my best, with no help:
stasny Novyrok !
I guess that means happy New Year, but whatever...;)
DeLay Pledges Contempt Charge for Terri Judge

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay pledged Friday to hold Florida state judge George Greer in contempt of Congress for ignoring a congressional subpoena for Terri Schiavo's testimony, saying, "No little judge sitting in a state district court in Florida is going to usurp the authority of Congress."
"The Congress will pursue this, if we have to hold him in contempt of Congress," DeLay told radio host Sean Hannity.
Pressed on whether he intended to hold Judge Greer in contempt, the top Republican told Hannity: "Absolutely, absolutely."
"We will do everything to enforce the power and authority of the Congress and no little judge sitting in a state district court in Florida is going to usurp the authority of Congress," he added.
Earlier in the day Judge Greer rebuffed the Schiavo subpoena, telling attorneys in the case, "I have had no cogent reason why the [congressional] committee should intervene." He claimed that the last-minute action on the part of Congress does not nullify years of legal proceedings.
But DeLay told Hannity, "This judge and the Supreme Court of Florida are well known to be liberal judges that have a different worldview and they're imposing their worldview on the law."
The top House leader said that "no sane person" could look at Schiavo and say she's in a persistent vegetative state.
DeLay called a lawyer for Michael Schiavo, who has pressed for years to have his wife starved to death, "the personification of evil."
"they jailed Robert Latimer for killing his disabled daughter. He thought he had a right to put her out of her misery. Went to trial, was convicted, appealed, conviction upheld"
I remember that. Thank goodness!
'put people out of their misery'... by what right do they say that, you know? The will to live is strong.
I've held two dogs while they were euthanisized. It hurt me deeply but I felt I had an obligation to be with them while they passed.
Thank you for the link. BTW, is it true her husband knows CPR and didn't offer her any?
That tribute was only about 1000% times better than Terri's loving husband has ever done!
He repeated Terry had some therapy early on and she was able to talk somewhat as well as manage to walk a bit. After her husband got the multi-million dollar settlement to care for her, he withdrew all therapy and she has degenerated ever since.
The other man on at the same time was a young Dr, a professor at Mt Sinai, specializing in geriatrics. He seemed to think everything being done to Terri was hunky-dory. I shudder to imagine being under that man's care. He had the deadest eyes I have seen in a long time, and a smooth tongue. He had all the answers. Where does the medical profession get these Mengele act-alikes? Shudder.
Michael Schiavo is a monster. He's trying to kill his wife and is succeeding nicely.
I just heard that on the Savage program
he's interviewing the owner of this site
