Freepers March For Tyranny and Fascism!
Men's News Daily ^ | 3/18/2005 | Chris Davis

Jim Robinson and the “Swastika Brigade”—known as Free Republic—are at it again. They’re calling it the March for Justice II. I call it the March for Tyranny II! It’s nothing more than thuggish behavior from conservatives bent on crushing democracy. It’s a travesty. It’s downright despicable of these slow-witted, mind-numbed robots!

That’s right! On April 7, 2005 in Washington, D.C., a group of fringe right-wingers will practice their screeching, referred to as “dissent.” But this isn’t the first time this type of tyranny has happened. Jim Robinson has pulled these kinds of shenanigans before. In fact, during the reign of the greatest president in history, Bill Clinton, Robinson and his jack-booted gang marched on Washington.

Recently (on March 15, 2005), Jim Robinson wrote, “In October 1998, Free Republic marched on Washington demanding the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Thanks to our efforts, Clinton was impeached less than two months later. Then, as now, our country stood at a Constitutional crossroad. This year we stand at the crossroad of what kind of judiciary we will have: One that is restrained by the Constitution, or one that abridges our rights by making it up as they go along.”

It’s this kind of lunatic that needs to be silenced. Something must be done about this rogue website and these erroneous bloggers! Liberals must fight the scourge that inhabits our America.

These people are ending all hope of a socialist utopia that began in 1932. We have worked our tails off for one controlling and meddling federal government. We must stop the March for Injustice II now! We must stop the radical right-wingers of the party of Lincoln! These people have the I.Q. of a light bulb. The last thing we need is to have these redneck, homophobic, women-oppressing, racist, sexist, conservative pigs on parade in the center of enlightenment.

We must get rid of Free Republic once and for all. This site has been a thorn in our side for far too long. They have disrupted the ebb and flow of liberalism, and it’s high time we did something about it as good little Marxists. MoveOn.org, a paragon of democracy, isn’t sitting idly by while the fascist wheels turn. They’re fighting back with every opportunity in an attempt to stop the hostile takeover by the Bush administration. From accountants to zoologists, they voicing in no uncertain terms: “government knows what’s best for you.” Jim Robinson and Free Republic should listen. Unfortunately, these zealots are to busy spinning their propaganda.

In a post to MoveOn.org, Ted Neros from Visalia, California, wrote, “Muzzle the US media, muzzle the world’s media, muzzle whistle-blowers, muzzle the CIA, muzzle the FBI, muzzle our Senators, muzzle free speech, muzzle citizen dissent, muzzle the Internet, muzzle the American spirit, what Senator Byrd calls “that stubborn, feisty, contrarian, and glorious urge to loudly disagree, and proclaim, despite all opposition, what is honest and true.” What is this administration afraid of? Is this President afraid our people will not condone his actions if they know what is being done in secret? It appears he wants our citizens to remain ignorant allowing him to rule by Executive Order with a Congress in lockstep.”

Ted continued, “And now, religious zealots are attempting to ram their beliefs on the rest of us by gaining a judiciary filled with judges who meet their approval. To accomplish this, Republicans in the Senate are attempting to silence the Senators in the minority by killing the Senate’s extended debate (filibuster) rules designed to challenge judicial appointees. All in an attempt to pack the Supreme Court with judges hell-bent on promoting their views of religious morality rather than upholding the laws as spelled out in our Constitution? A constitution of laws not of men. So, are we going to stand idly by and let them do it without a fight? Will we be content to become what Senator Byrd calls “a nation cowed by fear, sheep-like in our submission to the power of a majority demanding absolute control”? I don’t think so.”

That’s right, Ted. Fight to the bitter end! Fight ‘em with all you've got! Don’t stop until all the votes are counted! And Ted knows that liberty is too precious to let forums like Free Republic disrupt it.

There are also women like Pamela Mann, a fulltime mom from Pinckney, Michigan. She strikes hard, writing, “If I was as naive as you I would say that conservatives are working hard to control how we live, they want to dominate the world, no religion is good unless it's the one they follow. They want to bankrupt our nation, divide it by making the rich, richer and the poor, poorer. They want to destroy good programs that help everyone, in order to give wealth to a few. They preach against gay's, cry over the molested, yet hire gay prostitutes to spin their excrement and turn their heads when their priests molest the children, they cry to protect the unborn child yet they starve, shoot and bomb the child living. Fortunately I am not that naive as to believe that everyone who is a conservative is this stupid, don't get me wrong I've seen a great deal of them running our country, but not everyone fits into this category. So if you really must spin your one fits all excrement, go do it some where else.”

Miles Mogulescu, an attorney from Malibu, California, had a thing or two to say about rampant tyranny. He wrote, “The Republicans are not going to wait to enact their right-wing agenda. We in turn can't wait to fight back. If social security is privatized, tax cuts are made permanent, taxes are eliminated on investment income, and the Supreme Court is packed with extreme right-wingers, even if we win elections in 2 or 4 years, it may be too late to reverse these changes. Progressives have to mobilize to stop such measures now using all the tools we have learned to use over the past several years.”

Miles states:

--Make sure Congressional Democrats don't lose courage. When necessary, they must be prepared to filibuster to stop permanent right wing "reforms".

--Fundraise and Lobby. Move On has shown the ability to raise tens of millions of dollars and put tens of thousands of boots on the ground. Make sure the Democrats in Congress know that they will only receive our active support if they resist the Republican agenda.

--Develop media campaigns and run print, radio and TV ads to de-legitimize the Republican agenda. Let's do to the Republicans what they did to Hillary Clinton's health care plan in 1992. The Republicans' success in mobilizing against health care reform led directly to their taking back Congress in 1994. Despite Bush's 51% victory, polls show that the majority of Americans do not support social security privatization, permanent tax cuts for the wealthy, or an extreme right-wing supreme court. The Republican agenda can be blocked.

--Organize letter writing campaigns, petition drives, letters to the editor.

--Organize at the local level. Where appropriate, hold mass demonstrations.

--Use every other weapon in our arsenal.

Of course we also have to develop new ideas, learn how to frame the debate better, strengthen our grass roots organizations, develop new media avenues and fight for election reform. But while we're doing this, we have to fight back now.”

Across the “Fruited Planes,” ordinary citizens are standing up against Free Republic to keep democracy moving. They know in their hearts that judicial activism is the key to filtering in liberalism in American society. They know that in their darkest of basements that President Bush is illegitimate—that he has desecrated the office of President of the United States. And in their loudest of rallying cries, they are striking out at the venomous Rove-Bush machine, Jim Robinson and Free Republic. For plain Americans, democracy, is far too important to let the March for Justice II influence 72 years of liberal philosophy.

It’s not a March for Justice. It’s a March for tyranny and fascism! Damn the Constitution, full speed ahead!

I am so accustomed to Lib-Dem screeds that say things like the lead for this article, that I miss the sarcasm. But I soldiered on through this one, and realized what the author was doing.

The dum-dum California lawyer quoted near the end of the article is, apparently, dead serious. He has no clue about what the Constitution means or why we have it. That is pathetic for politicians generally. It is inexcusable for a lawyer. What a putz.

No big deal, JB. That was precisely one of my points. They're out of control. I'm glad you enjoyed it, meaning that you got fired up. That was another point.

See future post, after the projectile vomit, I realized it was satire. I need to calm down, I was ready to argue with some libs...

That was one of the goals as well. Conservatives are tired of being labeled by idiots.

Good Lord - after the first three paragraphs or so, I was ready to spit venom in your eye. Thank God I rest the rest of the article.

Great read, BTW!
