a more pro-poor agendaPro-poor? I always knew that the world's social engineering statists were pro-poor. That's why they've made so many of them and kept them in poverty.

Well well..... The opinion I'm wanting to hear is Steve Forbes.
His next "Fact and Comment " message will be the definative word on the issue.

Well, you're on target with the neo-con bit. And I think it's a stroke of genius.

Please post Forbes commentary when you see it.
I would appreciate it if you were to ping me when you do - I would hate to miss it, and with things as they are for me right now, I probably will unless pinged...

I think in a indirect way, Bush is basically saying to KOFI ( shove it ) and take a hike.

In a flurry of Good strategic moves, Bush is in effect keeping the libs/dems off balance and making them spin so hard, that they can't think straight and losing their minds.
and as Jackie Gleason use to say
" HOW SWEET IT IS "

Steve Forbes "Fact and Comment" in the current edition rails about gold beyond his targeted $350 per ounce, although, he has apparently allowed his comfort mark to slip upwards to $400.
Another of his very best rant subjects is the World Bank and the IMF. It'll be a week or so before it comes out and I will try my very best to post the piece and ping you.

First order of business should be to rename it The Bad Loans Covered By America Agency OMG, that is so funny... and true. The UN is a sewer hole, down which billions of dollars of American's hard earned money is sucked and lost.

"You can't have a situation where rich countries lecture developing countries about democracy and then aren't prepared to exercise democracy in this kind of appointment."
Somebody has to explain to Dave Timms a notion of shareholder democracy, namely: one share = one vote, and if one wants to have more, one has to purchase more shares.
