Reporter Hammond provokes boos at Kerry's news conference (asks about Corsi and Swifties)

from the web:

Kerry was droning about his opposition to ANWR at his OWN news conference. Hammond jumped up:

HAMMOND: Senator Kerry, I'm Don Hammond from News Central. Can I ask you one question?

KERRY: Excuse me?

HAMMOND: Thank you very much. A great measure of a democracy also is letting people ask questions in forums such as this.

KERRY: Everybody's going to ask their questions, you know, and you clearly have a loud voice and will be able to get your voice --

[laughter]

HAMMOND: Thank you so much. And I know you shifted a little bit from ANWR to the budget, but now can I shift to Jerry Corsi, a man that's running against you --

KERRY: No, I --

HAMMOND: -- for the Senate. He's made some amazing accusations regarding your military career. Did you or did you not --

[loud booing]

KERRY: What's the next question? What's your question?

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: This is for Senator Cantwell --

HAMMOND: You won't take my question?

Roll Call's March 16 "Heard on the Hill" column (subscription required) noted that during the press conference, Hammond repeatedly referred to Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-WA), a co-sponsor of the ANWR legislation, "as 'ma'am' instead of Senator," in response to which Cantwell's press secretary "grabbed Hammond's arm and said, 'The next time you refer to Sen. Cantwell, it's "Senator" not "ma'am."'"

For Kerry's next news conference, I will personally pay any reporter 500 big ones to have "180" tatooed on his/her forehead.

There is some guy who is "renting" advertizing space on his forehead, maybe you can find him and get him to stand behind Kerry at some photo op.

That little smarmy SOB should have received a very loud "KMA you snotty little brownshirt".

"as 'ma'am' instead of Senator,"

I guess the folks from her neck of the woods don"t realize that ma'am (short for Madam") is a gender substitute for Sir.

I would call her "Sir", the next chance I got.

bitt -- Every time I see Helen Thomas I am reminded of a morning in Hong Kong during a carrier deployment during the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club Days, '66. I was on a ripper of a shore leave -- and awakened in bed one morning at the Kowloon Princess Hotel with a gal in bed beside me who looked just like her.

My God, I have never quite been the same.

But .. but .. when the reporters address the President - most of them say "Sir" - not Mr. President!

I guess, as usual, the libs get to demand respect but don't have to give it. Poor Hammond - I'm expecting him to be pilloried in the press just like Gannon was.

I love the idea of the 180 on the forehead .. LOL!!

Notice how the other journalists boo Hammond for daring to ask Kerry a pointed question...

Yep. And these same scumbags from the dying socialist old media would smirk and applaud to themselves if one of their own asked Bush whether he took his physical as a reservist 35 years ago. To them, that would be an important, pointed question. Go figure.

In '66 I had acne and played the accordion and I still dated better looking females than that old Arab.

I would call her "Loser" for her failed legislation

Did Kerry not say he would present his SIGNED 180 to Don Imus..? Not that I care about either one of these jerks...but since he publiclly stated such on radio in the big apple..one wonders.

His 180, or lack therof, will hound him at every turn.. the Swifties will make sure of it. Thousands of vets that he slandered will dog him til his dying day...This FRAUD who happens to be the most decorated war hero in America History shall not rest.

He will have to fight tooth and nail for HIS reputation. Something that he has never allowed any of those he so broadly attacked.

Anyone that did that to me would either find themselves punched in the face or charged with assault. You can yell anything you want at me, but the moment you start physically grabbing me, I'm going to assume you intend physical harm and respond accordingly.
