And Connor, who was found outside Laci's womb, was not given a birth certificate because ... ? That I do not have an answer for. But, he wasn't. Thus, no name in official court documents.

Although I agree that it takes forever for someone actually to be executed in CA, I take comfort in the sentence because Scott Peterson's lawyers would have been able to keep him away from the general prison population if he'd been sentenced to life.

Don't forget the part where the vigilante gets convicted of premeditated murder, and executed in a timely fashion.

...prisoners sentenced to death are kept separate from the rest of the prison community and have single cells. They do not even get to have recreation with other death row prisoners. He will live a long life in prison. Yep, that's the way it works. For anyone interested, check out the following:
California's Death Row, and
Letters from San Quentin's Death Row. Perhaps we should watch this site to see if Scott goes looking for a pen-pal...

I would assume she figured out that pregnancy isn't caught like a cold......
It's NOT? Geez, why does Mrs. Thag turn away when I sneeze, and where did these 9 kids come from? Now you're going to tell me the Stork didn't bring'em either!

Oh really? So why is abortion legal then?
Because in 1973 there was an activist Supreme Court that decided to mock God. That in no way takes away from God's supremacy and sovereignty.
Notice how I said that American jurisprudence is BASED on God's law. I never said that bad law was not created by those who will be answering to God for their actions.
The thing that scares me about your posts is that you seem to put man's law above God's law. That is a very dangerous precedent if you want my humble opinion.

Nine kids........AWESOME......bet there's lots of love in your house. Reminds me of my favorite Groucho Marx story!
As legend has it, Groucho was small-talking with a female contestant on "You Bet Your Life" when the following exchange took place:
Groucho: So, you got any kids?
Female Contestant: Yes, Groucho, I have eleven children.
Groucho: Eleven?! Did you say eleven kids?
Female Contestant: Well, I love my husband.
Groucho: Lady, I love my cigar but I take it out of my mouth once in a while.

The thing that scares me about your posts is that you seem to put man's law above God's law. That is a very dangerous precedent if you want my humble opinion. You are right in the fact that God's law is supreme and some day we will all have to answer for our sins in "His" court.
In the meantime, whether the laws are right or wrong, we have to answer in state or federal courts that may or may not take God's laws into consideration.

Too bad this is in Kalifornee and will NEVER be carried out. Now, if he were in MY state (Texas):

Exactly! Now the question becomes - Who's side are we on? Do we answer first to God? Or to the state?
I'm trying to get you to realize that baby Connor had a name, has a name, and will always have a name, whether the state is involved or not.
In regards to the media...they were perfectly willing to tell us all about "Dolly" the sheep, you'd think they could AT LEAST refer to baby Connor by his name!
To: wallcrawlr
There's no reason for this case to have gotten the sort of publicity it got, this is just a typical domestic murder that happens everyday in America.

A child has a name when a parent decides what to call him or her. The government is irrelevant except to themselves. God won't ask for the papers, the "social security" system in heaven is paper free.

Exactly! Now the question becomes - Who's side are we on? Do we answer first to God? Or to the state? When the two contradict each other, I think it's best to go with God's laws. We may answer first to the state, but ultimately to God.
I'm trying to get you to realize that baby Connor had a name, has a name, and will always have a name, whether the state is involved or not.
I was always taught that those who make it into the Kingdom of Heaven will be given new names and new bodies as we cast all that is earthly behind us.
In regards to the media...they were perfectly willing to tell us all about "Dolly" the sheep, you'd think they could AT LEAST refer to baby Connor by his name!
Sheep aren't required to have birth certificates.

Why were you put off? If I were Mrs. Roche, I would want my family and friends to be there, too, rather than a lot of curiosity seekers. The family and friends of Lacy Peterson deserve to have this vindication for Lacy.
Scott should rot in hell for what he did to Lacy and Connor. I think life in prison without parole would have been a good start on hell for him. Death by lethal injection is too easy.

With that, I'll bid you Adieu... (shaking head in disbelief)

The government is irrelevant except to themselves. The judicial system IS a part of the government though and if they require a birth certificate, sobeit. The media, in my opinion, should follow the lead of the courts to make it less confusing.
God won't ask for the papers, the "social security" system in heaven is paper free.
Never was my argument. I just stated that the media shouldn't refer to the fetus as "Connor."
