Reagan is closer. We are actually in 1 1/2 hours north of DC. I'll go after the Mapquest thing later this evening.
Headed out the door...

Could use some info on rollin into DC and out. I've got a 6hr. drive in and need to know where to park the buggy...never been to DC before so any suggestions would help.
I checked the Amtrak thing and that's a 12 hr.+ trip oneway. I can't afford that much time, plan on swingin' through though, this is too important.

Anyone who might be in DC can also help...Please see www.priceline.com, click on hotels and then DC....Which areas should we consider?
Convention Ctr - Capitol Hill area
White House - Downtown
Dupont Circle - Woodley Park
Georgetown - Foggy Bottom
Or should we consider any Hotel next to the subway/train and stay out of the downtown area?

My pleasure. This is such a big thing goin' on I just had to ping it. I'd LOVE to see a BIG crowd of FR folks (and other conservative
activists) knockin' on Dee Cee's door - and on Harry Reid's in
particular!!

Mobilizing people for a protest march can certainly demonstrate the dissatisfaction of conservatives toward the court. There is however, a better way to change the composition of the Court, and ultimately its behavior. Please take a look at this effort. If you and your marchers contact and convince Rush to lead the Reagan Renaissance, the problem of the Court will be effectively resolved.
These five articles outline a simple, but very effective way to quickly recover the Constitutional Republic that we have lost to the socialists that now control our government. The keys to realizing the Reagan Renaissance are found here:
We can stop the madness before it is too late. But it will take leadership from people like yourself.
"It is remarkable to see how relatively numerous in declining empires are the people capable of making the right diagnosis and preaching some sensible cure. It is no less remarkable, however, that wise utterances remain generally sterile, because, as Gonazles de Cellorigo forcefully put it while watching impotently the decline of Spain, "those who can will not and those who will cannot."
Carlo M. Cipolla: "The Decline of Empires"
"..history will record with the greatest astonishment that those who had the most to lose did the least to prevent its happening." Ronald Reagan, Time for Choosing, 1964."
If you can get the members of FreeRepublic and your marchers to support the agenda outlined in this series of articles, FreeRepublic will have a great opportunity to live up to its Mission Statement of restoring our Constitutional Republic and can end the Court's rewriting of the Constitution from the bench.
Click here to send Rush an email.

I had a dream last night -- no kidding -- that I was in D.C. I've never dreamed that.. maybe it could happen!

Instead of calling the March for Justice a
protest, make the March a platform for providing people the
solution to the problem:

Fly into Reagan National if possible. You'll pay a bit more, but IMHO it's worth it. Then you just hop on the Metro to your hotel and to the rally site. If you do fly into Dulles or BWI, you can get an airport shuttle over to National. Or from BWI a short shuttle ride allows you to take the Amtrak or MARC train down into Union Station.
Stay away from a rental car, if possible. Driving in downtown D.C. can be a nightmare for locals, not to mention visitors.
