Rice pointedly declined to rule out running for president in 2008 on Friday during an hour-long interview with reporters at WASHINGTON TIMES, top sources tell DRUDGE. Rice gave her most detailed explanation of a 'mildly pro-choice' stance on abortion, she would not want the government 'forcing its views' on abortion... She explained that she is libertarian on the issue, adding: 'I have been concerned about a government role'... Developing late Friday for Saturday cycles... MORE...
But, if you're also saying that only time will tell the fullness of her views, then I can agree with that.
What if she had an abortion?
To equate those things with abortion (MURDER) is preposterous.
Even if it were illegal, she might still abort the baby.
You are delusional.
They deserve some bit of our pity and compassion.
Precisely the same amount as John Gacy.
Fascinating "what if", in fact it's possible but I'll err on the more likely assumption that it is the kind of verbal gaffe that only a political (not policy mind you but politics) neophyte would make.
I'd love to be proven wrong but as before I still need clarification.
I'm a student midwife, direct entry. How was the baby poisoning your friend's daughter? Rh incompatability? What? Did the doctors on the scene give you the name of the malady? I'd like to research it, if you remember. That is not something I have come across in my studies.
I'll just put you down under "Yes, I would let a girl die to save a deformed child."
have no idea......i'm not a pro abortionist.......but like Howlin said, if anyone puts up another point of view here like Condi before Hillary, or I believe in 3 exceptions, then all of a sudden I'm pro abortionist..I have no problem with your views, I have more a problem with hypocrisy or someone not voting cause of one issue thus insuring a possible pro choice, socialist, blah blah in the White House....I see shades of gray on some things....not just black and white
Just like being a little bit pregnant...deadly none the less
and plainly showing true intent. They are still liberals all straining on the leash! Makes a conservative wanna go PUKE! P.C. everywhere you turn!
Easy for you say. You aren't the one who will die if you don't have your ectopic pregnancy taken care of. Or who will carry a child conceived in rape.
Good night to the zealots on this forum.
If you allow a Democrat to be elected, abortion will be the LAST thing that will be troubling this country.
The baby's spinal fluid was leaking into the placenta.
Depends on many factors...you oversimplify. But if they fight for the rest of the pro-life agenda, I would call them Pro-life, with a real strange cognitive dissonance. That describes President Bush.
Most serious pro-lifers make an exception for the life of the mother...although as C. Everett Coop, who delivered thousands of babies, says, it almost never happens. He never had it happen once. It is a red herring used to derail the pro-life debate.
But, intellectually, it is silly to support killing babies who are the product of rape or incest. They didn't do the wrong.
I support making rape or incest capital crimes once again. Kill the guilty, save the innocent...
Sleep well, if you can.
I was gonna reply to that one, too...but I had to check to make sure I hadn't accidentally stumbled on to DU. That post could have come straight from there...
"So, for instance, I've tended to agree with those who do not favor federal funding for abortion, because I believe that those who hold a strong moral view on the other side should not be forced to fund it."
Don't kill the baby--throw out the candidate.
Gender is not irrelevant. Most men (not all) cannot understand the full implication of an unplanned pregnancy these days. No man can experience the beauty of a baby growing inside his body and the bone-wrenching pain when that love is combined with the fear of having the baby. Few men will lose sleep over an abortion or even an adoption.
That day old baby, if left unmolested will draw breath in a very short period of time, the way his or her mother did the morning she took the pill. Life has to be respected, and it has to be respected from the get go, IMO.
Glad to hear that Howlin.
That is not the same thing as being Pro-life with 3ER.
Are you guys so desperate for her that you will stoop to subterfuge or denial.
Geez....she is black, female....tuff on foreign policy (I think...her job was sorta secret by nature)
What else has she done?
Came from good middle class black family in Alabama...all good points. Went to college and beyond. Excelled in academia and college administration. Has written academic cold war books, worked for BushI as Security elve...east bloc stuff.
CFR member in good standing....hmmm...ambivalent note on that.
Sat on some boards.
Bush II NSA director and now SOS.
Pretty nice....but I don't see a big punch for making a run at POTUS there.
I think the talk about the Senate in Kali makes more sense if she wants more.
That's not an abortion; that's a surgery to save the life of the mother, which has as an unfortunate side-effect, the unintended death of the unborn child.
