This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

At least we should be able to agree that a crew MUST have at least ONE individual (of course, TWO is MUCH better) on an ambulance that can do like the police officer that jumped in and did today, get the patient up in the ambulance so they can get to the hospital in a timely, and hopefully, life-saving manner.Or a mechanical gurney lift...

It's hard to believe that jury last week was hung.
Eight year relationship.
Went to her house for her birthday -- took food, etc., ice chest -- had it all planned out -- held her hostage for days until she got away; rape, sodomy, the whole deal.
This girl on MSNBC talked to some people in the new trial; she says he has nothing to lose now and that he had already tried to smuggle "weapons" into the courtroom this week.

Also aggravated kidnapping. Not sure what that means.Any time a crime has the word 'aggravated' attached to it, it means that it is a higher crime by virtue of being a repeat offense, or that the dollar amount was higher, or that the circumstances made it worse.

this guy was out on bond, not cuffed and wearing street clothes.I haven't heard Fox, but I thought he was denied bond. Will be interesting to find out which is correct.

Everyone needs to check their cars...make sure they aren't stolen. He's probably taking a different attitude if he's smart and collects himself...sounds like proto cold blooded killer.

The problem with that theory is that the suspect probably would have had a hard time shooting the deputy if the deputy's gun was empty at the time he grabbed it.

I am listening to a reporter on an Atlanta radio station.
She made the following statements.
The guy was out on bond.
The guy had been stopped two times earlier trying to smuggle "shanks" into this courtroom.
I simply don't get it! How can a person on bond be still running around loose after attempting to smuggle knives into the courtroom?

Sounds like he was fairly violent in his attack.
Find him. Kill him.

The motive was "unknown"???? Good grief, the reporter who wrote this couldn't guess that maybe the perp was trying to escape????
Reporters sometimes go to ridiculous extremes to not jump to conclusions, even when the conclusions couldn't be more obvious. I remember my frustration on 9/11 when no journalist was willing to say it was a terrorist attack. It wasn't until George W. Bush referred to the incident as "an apparent terrorist attack" that the journalists felt comfortable describing it as such.
