This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.
It's amazing... in all of creation, in all of time, no man in authority has ever, never, been overpowered by a big ole baddie.
It's only when teeny, tiny women get to guard the big old baddies that these things happens. And it happens every time... no woman has ever, in all of creation, in all of time, been able to escourt a criminal into a courtroom.
It's time to change the rules...
Thanks:)
Does anyone else feel the green Honda may soon turn into a "white truck"? This guys doesn't seem stupid- somehow I think he's either changed the plates or the car, by this time.
His ex girlfriend probably has police protection now.
If I were one of his friends who turned him in, knowing this creep is on the loose would have me make it easier to find Jimmy Hoffa than me.
I wonder what sorts of interesting "toys" The GA ArNG (or ANG for that matter) might be able to bring to the party. A TOW or Hellfire up his butt would fix things up rather nicely, don't you think?
Use of NG in the state role is not a violation of the Posse Commitatus act.
He's gone out to pick up his wife from work.
You live there and haven't heard about this today?
Won't happen. The judge was a bleeding heart liberal and all of the deputies I saw in the news photos are black.
The racial angle comes in to play when the perpetrator is a celebrity such as OJ or when the crime itself has racial overtones, such as Reginald Denny.
WTF? How could that be allowed to stand?
What went wrong?
but if this guy got the gun, took a few minutes to at least have a choice who to kill, then he shot the judge point blank and apparently the court reporter, then he was certainly picking and chosing his victims....
what I don't know is, who was the court reporter, was she white or black?
Hell, it isn't just the Sheriff's department LOL. The whole damn county. Ask me how I know.
"Because there are guys on this forum with MAJOR issues with women -- in all walks of life."
I agree 100% that quite a few guys on this forum have serious girl issues, but this is one situation where I agree with them. I'll put my brains and emotional fortitude up against any guy any time, but I can't say that about my physical strength. At 5'4, 115, I'll get my ass kicked every time.
Having said that, if a 6' 200 pound woman wants to be a cop and meets the same - not lowered - physical standards as the men, she should be in. Otherwise, she should look elsewhere for employment. I don't want my surgeon to be a blind guy, I don't want my telephone operator to be deaf, and I don't want my cops, male or female, physically wimpy.
Thanks for saving me from posting something that would of got me banned!
Wrong - it happens
"Police Officer Nick Sloan
St. Louis Police Department
End of Watch: Friday, Jan. 30, 2004
Officer Sloan was killed while conducting a narcotics operation on North Taylor. After observing a drug deal, Officer's Sloan and Keathly approached the suspect and were searching him, when the man grabbed Officer Sloan's service weapon and opened fire, striking both officers. Keathly was able to return fire, killing the suspect. Officer Sloan died at the scene, becoming the 154th member of the St. Louis police to die in the line of duty. Officer Sloan, 24, had served with the department for just over 2-years. He is survived by his 13-month old child and father Sgt. Terry Sloan, a 31-year veteran who commands the vice squad."
Unfortunately we live in a time of PC... many of bad boys are walking the street because of something the cops said. Sad but true, so we all have to put up with this nonsense, "person of interest" indeed.
Actually it's the presumption of stupidity of jurors. We got along fine for many many decade allowing the accused to be restrained. Jurors knew that their evaluation of guilt or innocence had to based on the facts presented, not "guilty until proved innocent". Now we figure, perhaps rightly in some cases, that the jurors are dumb as a box of rocks, dominated by their glands.
Exactly. He's radioactive. Anybody other than a hostage who is anywhere near him will be just as dead as he. We already know he's a kidnapper. He'll most likely take a hostage if he can.
