Really I saw one of his performance a few years back and thought he was rather boring to be honest with you. But I loved his songs. I say bury him at the cadillac ranch.

Country music. Contradiction in terms. Must be a (c)rap fan. May a thousand rattlesnakes bite behind your chaps.

Must be a (c)rap fan Ugh. c)rap, country alleged-"music" and opera are the three banned from my playlist. I can handle most everything else.

He's got a song on the newest album called "One Less Tornado" about the passing of a rodeo champ. That will certainly take on a new meaning now.

Just thought I would let y'all know I added these two pics to the thread we did on Chris after his passing. They are on www.chrisledoux.com http://www.chrisledoux.com/ It's now early Sun March 20, 2005.....and I just got back from hanging out with friends at a nearby ranch. We played a lot of Chris's music, a lot of Garth and George's music, and some Ed Burleson music. Twas a good Texas night to just hang out near the stalls. http://www.edburleson.com/ http://www.georgestrait.com/

I weas at the Houston Rodeo Friday and they were talking about Chris. A couple of the guys in the rodeo were from his home town.

I must have been in a cave or something. I didn't hear about his death until Garth accepted the Pioneer award on behalf of him and his family. He will be missed. He had a lot of songs that influenced me, I always viewed him as a country music philospher. Of all the songs that influenced me and and really got to me was 'Bang a Drum' This world has really lost something speacial.

It was great to see Garth again, that was a very emotional moment.
I think my favorite is "This Cowboy's Hat".

tHis old horse knows the way Home. (LOL...can relate to that song...drunk...sober...riderless horse, they KNEW their way home)
Hubby could entertain ya with Chris's song, 'Fever'. He's been there, done that, and our kids run and hide.(cuz Dad's going wacky)
Chris's passing has left a hole that will not be filled till we meet in those western Skies.

Thanks for the info. The fact that there was only one unreleased song on such an anthology says a lot about him.
