The FBI is investigating an incident of a bullet found in a plane at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. US Airways Flight 847 from Denver arrived here in Charlotte Monday at 11:30 a.m. A hole was found in the plane during a routine check of the A319 Airbus at the gate.
WBTV spoke with the FAA in Charlotte and they tell us the FBI will be handling the case. The plane was shot in the right fuselage. The bullet has been recovered.
There had been recent reports of bullets holes found in other US Airways planes, however investigations revealed those holes were created by rocks.
This could be an accident......
Maybe a disgruntled union member..
Maybe just a whacko..
Or maybe the Brady bunch trying to get gun control sypathy..
Was someone trying to put the airbus out of it's misery?
Sorry, I couldn't help myself I had to ask that.
Must be one of those psychotic .50 cal owners practicing on moving targets again. ;-)
At least it wasn't a green laser.
A wedding celebration?
Could be an accident, for example, some red neck living nearby the airport, drank a few too many, then shot off his rifle into the air.
I was just in that airport last week, but it was another airline.
Ping
Perhaps it was one of those wacky "quiet skies" groups.

does the bullet have "Boeing" fingerprints on it, lol
I wasn't aware that the A319 had more that one fuselage. Could they possibly mean "in the right side of the fuselage"?
That's it for me - nothing but aisle seats...
Black Helicopter Post - we will need alibis from Schumer, Feinstein, and Teddy (hiccup) Kennedy.

Hmmm.
Shouldnt be flying through those gravel pits, too dangerous.
(((.)))
Something like that was on CSI:Miami this past week. But they used the, in the news, Green Laser "crutch" as the reason a plane crashed. The perp was the leader of one of these groups around the local airport.
Most likely it was an idiot with a gun never thinking that he might acually HIT the plane.
