AUSTIN- Gov. Rick Perry has signed a concealed handgun agreement with Pennsylvania, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced Monday.
The agreement allows Pennsylvania residents with concealed-handgun licenses to legally carry their weapons in Texas. In return, those licensed to carry handguns in Texas are allowed to take them to Pennsylvania.
Texas also has reciprocity agreements with the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and North Dakota.
You have scrapple. We have grits. And okra. And pork rinds.
Old does not necessarily mean good. Just look at Europe for an example - France has been around forever, and look where they are.
As for the tolerance of our citizens, I refer you to http://www.funnymail.com/cgi/joke.cgi?category=cultfood&id=59046
I've been at a chili cookoff where Eastern US tourists happened to have the misfortune of visiting. The above is a joke, but it's not far from the reality.
A youngster! They still have some maturing to do...
Yuengling - since 1829! http://www.yuengling.com/
Section. 1.
Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State.
Now isnt that a novel concept
Disappointing to get back and find that I couldn't get it here, not even deep behind enemy lines in Austin! It reminded me of a similar experience with scrapple (in Philadelphia). I still can't get scrapple here; hope Yuengling gets here sooner.
Watch how fast this kitty is:
Yeeeeeeee-hah! 2nd Amendment ping-aroo! Texas is a partner. I just wish we could lop-off the blue cities Philly and Pittsburgh from this Red State; don't need or want the welfare scum, there.
I always stay in a small guest house in Munich and the Brewery across the street was founded before Columbus came west. Still one of the worst beers in Bavaria!
Could you handle a jalapeno and beef burrito or a BBQ brisket with habanero sauce washed down with a Shiner Bock?
Now if we could only make PA a red state

It kinda reminds of "Smokey and the Bandit" where the story line was basically getting Coors beer to Atlanta from Texas. Maybe we can get those truckers rolling north to south. I have seen Yuengling in Alabama so it is getting close!
Not too hard a stretch:
According to CNN, Bush lost Pennsylvania to Kerry by 121,818 votes (out of more than 5.6 million cast - a razor thin margin).
Also according to CNN, Kerry received over 517,000 votes and Bush received over 124,000 votes in Philadelphia (or a ratio of 4.16 for Kerry).
Now, for the really interesting numbers. According to the recent US Census, the Population of Philadelphia that is of voting age is 1,105,066. This number includes people who by law can not vote (non-American citizens, felons, out of state college students, etc.). In 2004, there are 1,035,395 registered voters in Philadelphia, up 34,000 from 2001.
So, what does this mean?
First, even as Philadelphia looses population, the number of registered voters continues to increase year after year. Today, in Philadelphia, nearly 100% of every person of voting age must registered to vote (as compared to a national average of 60% by the Census Bureau). Second, the total lopsidedness of the 4.16 ratio is an absolutely astounding number - even heavily democratic Broward Country, FL (one of the only places Gore wanted recounted in 2000) only went for Kerry 2:1 and Cook County, IL (Chicago - THE definition of the democrat voting machine) only went for Kerry 2.5:1.
Either Philadelphia has the most engaged and civic population in the history of the World, or there is massive voter fraud.
And the amount of fraud easily exceeds the margin of loss of President Bush. For instance, if the registration was slightly above average and if Philadelphia was just your "average-democrat-rustbelt-city-union-stronghold with a 50 year democrat political machine," the vote for Kerry in Philadelphia would have been just over 300,000. The voter fraud in Philadelphia is worth about 200,000 votes - a deficit that any Republican running for statewide office must overcome with real votes.
More importantly Texas and South Carolina have reciprocity. South Carolina is the lone "hold out" state in the southeast that doesn't readily recognize other state's permits, even neighboring states. I would get a Texas non-resident permit for this purpose alone if it didn't cost $140. They must think it is made of gold.
I don't know about y'all, but when other states allow gay marraige I don't think Texas should have to recognize them.
"Also according to CNN, Kerry received over 517,000 votes and Bush received over 124,000 votes in Philadelphia (or a ratio of 4.16 for Kerry)."
That's because Philly is gayer than Austin, which is an accomplishment.
I just hope we don't reach a gastronomic agreement - they couldn't handle our cheesesteaks and pretzels - washed down with a Yuengling beer...
You're probably right.
I don't know of any real Texan who would eat anything that Bland :o)
If it works for one, it would have to work for all.
Now, could a State allow a gay marriage but not allow the sex? It might work.
cool
