I have a prediction to make. The Liberals and there ilk will try and destroy Joe Liebermann because he sides with the President on SS reform. By the end of the week you are going to see a good man being systematical savaged by the people who dont agree with something he said. As the country sees how the Liberals eat their own, thats nothing but good news for us. Can you say "Senator Joe Liebermann R-Conn".
Rice-Liberman 2008
Sorry, but I get so sick of the Lieberman love-fest by some so-called conservatives and GOPers (Sean Hannity comes to mind foremost). Lieberman SOMETIMES talks a decent game, but he is a pure DemoRat hack. Look no further than his voting record on judges: he facilitates the personal destruction of these fine nominees by supporting the party line, the fillibusters, and the no votes against them.
You are a little too late. Didn't you watch any of the Democratic primary debates? Everyone took their turn at the plate on him.
LIEberman and ex-Reagan E Secy Bill Bennett used to give out Silver Sewer Awards to express opposition to Hollywood's salacious, sexually explicit and violent music, TV and movie output. Then when Lieb became Gore's running mate, he went to Hollywood on bended knee in obeisance to the moguls for votes and campaign financing, promising to strengthen Hollyweird's control over America.
Even more offensive, Lieberman made many, many pro-life pledges to religious leaders in 1988 as Connecticut Atty General running for pro-abort Sen Weicker's seat, based on a LIEb poll indicating pro-life votes were there for the taking. Once he got in---with pro-life votes---Lieberman turned tail and became an unwavering abortion rights supporter, voting consistently pro-abortion, and even voted to uphold partial-birth abortion on six separate occassions.
The Ntl Right to Life Committee still has meeting notes of candidate Lieberman's calculated, phony pro-life pledges.
Lieberman's also a dedicated gun-grabber - as his voting record clearly shows.
Let Lieberman stay on the Dim side where he belongs, with the rest of the deceivers.
Liberals eating their own?
What's wrong with that, it's a perfectly natural thing to do in the animal world. Snakes being a good example, including eating their young (they don't have medical facilities to do real abortions). And rats, and assorted other low lifes on the evolutionary scale eat their own.
So why get worried over what democrats were genetically engineered to do?
I can't believe people think Lieberman will suddenly change from a near-socialist liberal to a conservative. Pfui!
Explain in a total of 200 words or less, your top two or three priorities if elected President of the United States. If these priorities require additional funding for implementation, please explain how you would obtain this funding. CU Ratings for Senator Lieberman (From the American Conservative Union):
I'm running for President because I love America - and hate the direction George W. Bush is taking us.
But we're not going to defeat his extreme agenda with extreme anger. We've got to bring the country together and move it forward.
By offering new ideas. By fighting for what's right - whether or not it's politically popular.
I'm an independent-minded Democrat, and I'm running for President to restore security and prosperity to America and integrity and fairness to the White House.
George W. Bush gave away the store to big corporations. I'm going to cut taxes for 98 percent of taxpayers and make the most fortunate pay their fair share. And I'm going to get our economy back on track and create 10 million new jobs by helping our businesses grow and prosper - with smart new investments in education and innovation.
George W. Bush pays lip service to helping families. I'll make sure you can take care of a newborn baby or sick family member without losing your whole paycheck.
We've got to unify around common goals and values. With a positive, hopeful message.
That's what I'm offering in this campaign - and what I'll offer as President of the United States.

I disagree.
I used to think that he was a good man, until his run as VP with AlGore...
He dropped his convictions like a vampire would drop a garlic dill pickel!
It was only after the run was over that he become the more moderate dem again.
Now, maybe he was just "playin" for the "benefit" of the dems during the run - to "shore up the base" - but that makes him even more suspect.

Nice work, ray. Great research. Nice FR resource.
Everybody should file this away for future reference.
You nailed LIEb but good. Sure made my day. Thanks.
LOL. Nicely said Mark. Visual image of Count LIEb dropping his pickle is hilarious.
Thanks! As one who LOVES Jewish delis (and we only have one, that's mediocre in Kansas City), it was an image I long for... I can't wait to get back to New York for the food!
I miss the Jewish and Italian delis, as well as the Italian and Chineese food, although there are some pretty good places with those in KC. Just no really good Jewish or Italian delis (or bakeries). And Nathans Famous franks! They've got one set up in a TCBY here, and they sell the franks at the grocery store, but it's just not the same.
Can't even get a really good garlic dill! Not like in NY.
I was just hungry, that's all! lol
Mark
OMG, please....Jewish delis.......now I gotta get me to the best---- the Carnegie Delicatessen---- for a humongous corned beef on rye with those luscious garlic pickles on the side.
You are a true visionary.
Here's the thing about Joe. He's good, very good on security, military issues, and foreign policy. He's an ext. lib on social issues and most economics and other domestic issues. That being written, I think before the 2006 elections he will become the Sec of Defense (and will endorse Rice for 2008) and the Gov of Conn (A popular Republican woman) will appoint Nancy Johnson, who will win her seat outright in 2006.
Like Arlen Specter?
OK, that really wasn't called for... It'll be MONTHS before I can get back to NYC for that! :-(
Mark
Most Liberals hate him already. Even some of my more moderate Democrat friends (yes, I have some...) can't stand him. Personally, I have mixed feelings about the man.
