Mr. Evers,

I would be happy to discuss our disagreement in the hope that we can come to some amicable and mutually acceptable conclusion. I am at your disposal if our staff can arrange an appointment this week at the Democrat Party's national headquarters.

Regards,

Howard Dean
Chairman, DNC

P.S.

You'll find plenty of parking in the back, near the service entrance.

I don't think the Clarion Ledger allows any of their content beyond headlines and links to be posted from their sight.

"When are we going to learn to become Americans?..."

When we distinguish between the liar and the truth-teller, the criminal and the non-criminal, the creators of life and the destroyers of life.

When are we going to learn? "We the people..." have just recently gone from concept to reality. Give us time. We are learning. Rapidly.

You're welcome! I have been boycotting their site since they made their silly decision. I used to actually go to their site weekly if not more often.

Let him stay -- if they are stupid enough to elect an idiot, let 'em keep him. Most reasonable people will see him for what he is, and by extension, what kind of idiots the DEmocratic party is.

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

<< Dean [Said] "You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had hotel staff in here." >>

No, doctor Dean, just the Bush Cabinet.

"To play Devil's Advocate here, I think what Dean was trying to say is that the only position the GOP would allow blacks to be in is the hired help."

Do you think he knows of Dr. Rice or Mr. Powell? ;)

Did Howard Dean ever know any black people, like we do down South?

No. Remember that he said the reason he didn't have any Blacks in his gubernatorial admin. was because there weren't many in Vermont. :-)

"The liberal elite can only sustain themselves by perpetuating permanent second-class status to everybody else -- that they are the self-anointed spokespersons for."

An incredibly perceptive point. On this forum I've generally been more inclined than others to stick up for liberals -- not for their policies, but for their decency as people. But what you're saying really is true for a chunk of the liberal elite. It's a way of affirming themselves.

The liberals aren't doing anybody any favors; they're totally self-serving. I spent most of my young adult years organizing and coordinating counter-culture and alternative groups and finally came to the conclusion before the Seattle WTO anarchism, that these people were nothing but self-aggrandizing types exploiting noble sentiments to serve their own ignoble purposes. You'll note that they'll have an image of themselves that is not justified by their own actions -- and that's why they claim that "the ends justify their means," and everything they say is actually a contradiction of what they profess, with no apparent disturbance at that.

For the New York Times and the mainstream media to insist that Jesse Jackson is a spokesperson for the blacks is an insult to most thoughtful, intelligent blacks. That's characteristic of the mentality of the mainstream media controllers. It's fine for everybody to speak their own truth for themselves; however, they, distinctively, claim that their truth is everyone else's -- or should be. That's demagoguery -- not democracy.

I'm not really sure what you mean. First you cite liberals, but then refer to counter-culture anarchists. Both wrongheaded, but to vastly different degrees, and in different ways -- and even then, there are different kinds of liberals and different kinds of anarchists.

And when you say "they claim" the ends justify the means, whom and what are you referring to? I'm not saying you're wrong, but you're speaking very abstractly and assuming a lot of things. I'm not following your logic.
