JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Two people have been arrested in the murder of an Egyptian Christian family, authorities said Friday. The suspects were to be arraigned Friday afternoon in state Superior Court. The Hudson County prosecutor's office would not release the identities of those arrested or the charges they face until they appear in court.

"The Hudson County prosecutor's office would not release the identities of those arrested or the charges they face until they appear in court."

Maybe because they're arab muslims?

A man who had rented the second-floor apartment at the Jersey City address where the family was found slain was in police custody Thursday night, The Record of Bergen County reported, citing an unnamed official with knowledge of the case and a relative of the 25-year-old man.

It was not immediately clear whether the man, identified by The Record as Edward McDonald, was one of the people to be arraigned. His aunt, who would only identify herself by her first name, Marie, told The Star-Ledger of Newark that he was not involved in the slayings.

If this is the guy, I wouldn't be suprised if some here claim coverup, like the race baiters did when a gay black man was proven to be the Atlanta Child Murderer.

I think I read an article about this earlier today and it indicated that the suspects (maybe not the one's in court today) are the renters of the family's 2nd story apartment. The guy had about as "white" of a name as you can find.

We'll see I guess.

Two of them, huh? Sounds like a conspiracy. Very curious that they won't release the ID's until they've been arraigned, though. They must be expecting someone to try to interfere with the arraignment.

A muslim by the name "Edward McDonald"? Could be. Could even be "Ronald McDonald".

I wonder what the evidence is, though. The cops are under a lot of pressure to nail someone who's not muslim.

Maybe because they don't want the perps to be killed before they bring them to justice ..??

Well if that's the case then I'm wrong. Have they offered a motive yet? The last I'd heard about this is that they were all bound with throats slit and that nothing had been taken and that they were looking into threats against them made on an extremist web site.

If the case (and that is a big IF) is not related to our Muslim pals then it still does not fit the MO of a robbery motive. There was too little taken and way too much ceremony involved in the murders. It looks like the motive was murder and a little something was taken (rather than the motive of robbery and the killings followed to get rid of witnesses).

and that nothing had been taken

From FoxNews.com "Authorities said thousands of dollars were withdrawn from Armanious' bank account using his ATM card in the days after the slayings."
