Is this a parody??? One line reads....
We must stop them and the progress in Iraq and Afghanistan. We must bring Halliburton home now or face the devastating consequences of a freer world.

Is this a joke? If not, I bet this is Lou Dobbs's alter ego.

I GET IT NOW. Chris Davis wrote it and he is a conservative writer. This is all written tongue in cheek.

I'll subscribe to Marxist theory when someone shows me a good working example.
Of course that will never happen.
Socialism and Communism will fail...because the 'ideals' do not counter human nature.
And human nature is the survival of the fittest - albeit with moral conscience.
And THAT my friends is conservatism.

I couldn't quite make out if it was real or mockery!

A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced the altitude and spotted a woman below. He descended a bit more and shouted.
"Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The woman replied, "You are in a hot air balloon approximately 30 feet above the ground. You are between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude."
"You must be a Republican," said the balloonist.
I am," said the woman. "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "Everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is I am still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help so far."
The woman below responded. "You must be a Democrat."
"I am," replied the balloonist, "but how did you know?"
Well," said the woman, "You don't know where you are or where you are going. You have risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise which you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. The fact is you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it's my fault.

We must fight President Bush, Vice President Cheney and the Halliburton oligarchy, because they represent freedom and prosperity to all Americans and the world. We must fight our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines and coastguardsmen because they are beacons of shining hope and prosperity to oppressed nations. This is a Joke right?

I checked with the local library online and I put a copy of this book on hold and will pick it up in the morning.
I need something to laugh at for the weekend.

When I read the first paragraph of a screed like this, I skip to the end to see whether the writer has any possible education, or position, so his opinions are either important or dangerous. Mr, Davis is, apparently, out skating on the edges of sanity without a clue.
So, ne-VER-mind.
