I posted a different heads-up about ANSWER previously. I guess I misremembered where I got your screen name.

Anyway, we need as many as possible watching them, counter-protesting them, and writing letters to the editor against them. See my post a few posts above about letters.

Thanks for your vigilance!

Also, found out that on Thursday, March 10th, at 815am, Syracuse University is officially hosting a roundtable event at Drumlins Golf Course...

While we have many soldiers from Syracuse, NY who could share their story with these "intellectuals", those chose to promote his message. Shame on them.

Back in the days when I was a semi-bigshot in these here parts, the VT Air Guard CO offered to give me a ride in their then current a/c.

Having been an aviation nut since my brother flew 29's during WW2 and I was an ARTCC controller at Naha, Tokyo and NYARTCC, I jumped at the chance.

While making an approach to (then) Plattsburgh AFB,ol' Col. Gorman hits the intercom and says: "Ok, Jimmy, you got the aircraft".

Liked ta PMP.

Can you drum up some local veterans of Iraq to oppose this guy, send letters, hold press conferences, join any counter-protest, etc.?

The closest rally is 150 miles from me. I don't think I'll make it. But I like your idea about the letter to the editor.

Nice activism, BillF!

Hey you old gorilla, some FReeper's computers have a real problem handling so many graphics on a single page. Shrink 'em down to 200 pixels in height, at least.

Thanks for the heads up. We in Tennessee love the smell of humiliated Communists in the morning (or whenever they march).

trying...letter just sent in to several papers. contacting vfw/legions

Dear editor:

Syracuse University is at it again. The same college that paid $40,000 to anti-American director Michael Moore last fall to spew his venom on campus is once again playing host to another character assassin. Jimmy Massey, a retired Marine Staff Sergeant who now makes his living on the anti-war speaking circuit, has been invited by Syracuse University and the Syracuse "Peace" Council to spread his lies and distortions on Thursday, March 10th at both Drumlins Country Club (8:15am) and Kittredge Auditorium (4:00pm). Taking a page out of the John Kerry handbook on how to give aid and comfort to the enemy by betraying his fellow soldiers, Massey has been quoted by Arab "news" organization Al-Jazeera that we, being his fellow American soldiers, are "committing genocide in Iraq". Massey also claims that American soldiers have killed an "unlimited" number of children in Iraq.

Rather than do the right thing and shun this person who defames the character of those serving our country and their mission, Syracuse University seeks to provide both a platform and validation for his anti-American message. As we approach the 2nd anniversary of the War in Iraq, as our troops work to bring peace and stability to the Middle East, and as we honor the memory of over 1500 brave and valiant men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country, I can only shake my head in bewilderment as I try to understand why SU Chancellor Nancy Cantor would do such a thing. Why not invite one of the many local war heroes, like Tully's own Greg Moore, to come speak to the staff and students at your university? Instead, you choose to bring in an outside agitator. Insulting those who served and offending the memory of those who perished is certainly not the way to go about finding the "Soul of Syracuse". Who will be your next speaker, Ward Churchill? Shame on you, Dr. Cantor. We've seen the harmful effects this kind of betrayal has had on an entire generation of soldiers serving in the Vietnam War. Our troops do not expect nor do they deserve to be stabbed in the back by their fellow Americans. That's the only purpose this type of malicious behavior serves. It's reprehensible and it's not going to happen again. I invite all local patriots to join me on Thursday, March 10th in a show of support for our brave and valiant soldiers as we stand up to the treachery and lies of the anti-war left in America.
