Terri Schiavo's parents ask judge to let her divorce husband

Associated Press

TAMPA, Fla. - Terri Schiavo's parents asked a Pinellas court judge Monday to allow her to divorce her husband - in either life or death - in a court filing accusing Michael Schiavo of adultery and not acting in his wife's best interests.

The filing was one of a flurry of 15 motions filed by Bob and Mary Schindler as they now have less than three weeks to find a legal way to keep their severely brain-damaged daughter alive.

Terri Schiavo is scheduled to have the feeding tube that has kept her alive for 15 years removed March 18 unless her parents can convince an appeals court to block Michael Schiavo again. Michael Schiavo says he will have the tube pulled because his wife once told him she would never want to be kept alive artificially.

David Gibbs, the Schindler's attorney, said Pinellas Circuit Court Judge George Greer has indicated he will not hear the divorce request and five other motions filed Monday - but that only means that the matters are now on their way to being appealed to the 2nd District Court of Appeal in Lakeland........

The tramp got pregnant because she didn't give a damn, and they both don't care about the media attention of him being an adulterer and her a w&%*&.

This ought to shut up the blow-hards who think that we should respect the opinions of celebrities!

If you had some proof I'd be more willing to respect that opinion. My personal research however has led me to believe that Terri's condition is due to cardiac arrest secondary to bulemia. I could be wrong, for sure, but I find it the more likely possibility.

Funny, Jeb just said on tv "There's no need to call and put pressure on DCF and then wham. We find out that DCF has joined the Schindlers to object to Terri's death order! THANK YOU GOVERNOR BUSH!

I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be cheering on Social Services. Whoooooohoooo! Governor Bush is a good man :)

Cardiac arrest was ruled out by the ER docs.

See This link: In addition, in 1989, the Legislature adopted Fla. Stat. Ann. 744.3215. Under 744.3215(4)(c), a guardian had the right to "[i]nitiate a petition for dissolution of marriage for the ward." Vaughn v. Guardianship of Vaughn, 648 So. 2d at 195. Thus, as of 1989, a divorce action could be filed on behalf of an incompetent spouse.

Sorry I don't remember how to look up statutes by number; perhaps someone else can help with that.

In Jewish law, if a medicine was needed that could add only a few moments to one old and sickly person's life -- if the Temple in Jerusalem itself (for whatever reason) was the only source of that medicine -- the whole Temple would be torn down to get that medicine, just to add a few extra moments of life.

So yes, imo, if it is the Florida legal system that becomes the stalking murderer then it should be destroyed -- that murderous part of it must be cut out, and if it can not be done in part, it must be done in whole.

There must still be some legal system -- but in the US we do have many overlaps.

I thank you kindly for your assessment of my point. I only wish such obvious pacts were clear to the court.

MS is not Catholic.
Terri had to get permission to marry him at Mass in Church.

"Ummm, no, she was in cardiac arrest, that's not even in question."

Have you read this? Cardiac arrest is questioned.

Dr. Michael Baden stated:
"That Terri's heart was healthy would rule out the likelihood of cardiac arrest, he said."

Then go research what the actual words were they reported in their accounts of what Terri said. You will see that it has nothing to do with informed consent whatsoever.

I take that back, melas; I was correct; I thought I had read about cardiac arrest (not heart attack, which she also did not have) being ruled out by doctors....

cardiac arrest, however, was not ruled out by the ER docs....it does get confusing reading so many contradictory documents. Thanks texasbluebell for reminding all of us what Dr. Baden said.

Wasn't it bought by Jerger? There is some kind of relationship that Jodi has with Jerger....I read something about that....isn't it Jerger-Centonze insurance, bought by Jerger? Isnt' there a doctor of that same last name as Michael's brother in law or something?
