Terri's Freepers,
Judge George Greer denied Terri's parents' Motion for a Stay to protect their daughter's life while there are still pending issues in this LIFE AND DEATH MATTER. In addition the Department of Children and Family Services made a surprise visit to the court hearing the other day and asked Judge Greer if they could approach the bench. Judge Greer denied DCF the opportunity to speak. DCF asked for 60 days to conduct a complete investigation of allegations that have surfaced in the form of a Complaint to their agency.
What was set in motion instead? On Friday, February 25th, Judge Greer REFUSED TO issue another Stay because he was "not comfortable" issuing a say to protect a Ward of the State but instead "set a date certain" (on his calendar at least, not on mine) to BEGIN THE BARBARIC, ANTI-AMERICAN, STARVATION-DEHYDRATION SLOW MURDER OF TERRI.
Attorney Gibbs for Terri's parents held a press conference after J. Greer's order that was so tastefully written to indicate that "he was giving the Schindlers until March 18th so they could "prepare for Last Rites." Attorneys Gibbs called this ruling and prior rulings "Hitler-resque". Indeed.
If Judge Greer wasn't LEGALIZING EUTHANASIA in his courtroom, why any need for Last Rites? Greer's urgency to fulfill this killing places urgency on every one of us to lobby Governor Bush, Florida's House and Florida's Senate.
A Judge in America is ordering the manner of someone's death, a disabled woman who is healthy but needs rehabilitation.
Time is short so we don't really have time to get into Greer's mind to see why he is Florida's Til of the Hun.
What can we do?

Finally, the Pope has no Living Will. He will be SAFE as long as he stays away from George Greer's courtroom. The Pope is in our thoughts and prayers and he knows of Terri. He wants Terri to be freed from oppression and from a painless death by starvation-dehyration.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO EVERY DAY, THE PAY ISN'T VERY GOOD BUT THE FRINGE BENEFITS ARE THE GREATEST. You are Great Americans and liberty is Terri's and freedom from oppression. Freepers, that is the big payoff if we continue our daunting task.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR CONTACT INFO, IT IS ON THE WAY. Thanks, floriduh voter
I copied this from info provided in Post #257:
Quotes from Terri's friend, Jackie Rhodes: I attended the malpractice trial. A few other people from work also attended to tell what kind of person Theresa was, and she was a loss to the company, and you know, to her family and friends.
One thing that did occur during that trial, my husband was in the hospital having a heart cauterization and I had to go down there as soon as I left the Courtroom, as soon as I testified, and the malpractice attorney followed me down to the pay phone and said to me, you know, it wouldnt help the case at all if I told them that Theresa and Michael were talking about getting a divorce. I turned to him and I said if Im asked that question and that is the correct answer, that is the answer Im going to give.
Q. Do you know whether or not Terri specifically was seeking to get a divorce?
She had talked about it on several occasions. As a matter of fact, we had talked about living together, as my husband was very controlling to me and he asked for, my husband asked for a divorce also."

OK, Judge Greer, what about honoring THESE wishes of Terri's?
I suspect we read the same thing. Here is my post to them.
While we are citizens of a country based on human rights, the judicial system of the State of Florida seems to be bound in the Inquisition.
I ask that you become involved in the case of Terri Schiavo. Terri is not comatose or PVS. Terri responds to voices, recognizes her mother and father, a few other people as well. She tries hard to communicate and is quite conscious. You may view a video of almost 5 minutes which shows how hard she tries. You can google "Barbara Weller" and read her article "A First Visit With Terri Schiavo In Her Hospice Room".
The judicial system is going to allow her husband to remove her feeding tube. Now, Terri is not on a respirator, she does require nourishment just like the rest of us. She has spent 5 years in a small cell in a hospice and her husband allows no gifts, cards, flowers and very few visitors, and no press which he says is because he is protecting her privacy but he will discuss her gynecological functions in graphic detail in open public court, why? She can only listen to a radio on his implicit allowance. Terri has been denied all medical care.
In VietNam our POWS suffered this same treatment; lack of sensory stimulation, confinement, lack of communication, and lack of medical care. I think Terri deserves better than she is going to get, starvation/dehydration.
How painful? Quoting William Burke, a neurologist in St. Louis, as he describes the agonizing process as recorded by medical ethicist Wesley Smith:
"A conscious person would feel it (dehydration) just as you and I would. They will go into seizures. Their skin cracks, their tongue cracks, their lips crack. They may have nosebleeds because of the drying of the mucous membranes, and heaving and vomiting might ensue because of the drying out of the stomach lining. They feel the pangs of hunger and thirst. Imagine going one day without a glass of water. Death by dehydration takes ten to fourteen days. It is an extremely agonizing death."
Please consider assisting us in our quest for justice for Terri Schiavo, whose husband said on the Larry King show that he was only pursuing this because he was angry that her parents have tried to save her life and take her home and care for her, which he stopped doing weeks after he received more than 1.2 million dollars.
Thank you,
Terri ping to 260! If anyone would like to be added to or removed from my Terri ping list, please let me know by FReepmail!
Does anyone else think it's relevant that Terri was thinking about divorce BEFORE her alleged collapse and that there were also allegations of abuse by Michael BEFORE Terri became disabled. See POST 370, read all of it, especially the last part where Terri makes a comment about the Karen Ann Quinlan case.
More evidence here that questions Michael's suitability to have ever been Terri's guardian, that has been totally ignored by "judge" Greer.
I have another question: Where is the Catholic church? Terri should be granted an immediate annulment based on the adultery of Michael, and most importantly the fact that he is trying have her euthanized by means of starvation/dehydration which the Pope has spoken out against and the church forbids.
If the Church wants to make a statement here and prevent the future executions of more disabled persons, based on hearsay evidence- they can start here. Grant Terri an annulment, DO IT NOW. TIME IS RUNNING OUT. THE EXECUTION DATE AND TIME HAVE BEEN SET- WHERE ARE YOU CHURCH?
(no offense to Catholics here, I'm referring to the Church higher ups- I'm also Catholic.) Take this to the Pope if necessary. If they succeed in killing Terri, it will set a precedent that will leave no disabled person safe, if he she has lost the ability to communicate and requires feeding through a tube.(this is only the beginning, next they will say that a disabled person who has to be spoon fed does not have a "quality of life" and will order their executions as well)
Any guardian will be able to go to court and just state so and so told me they wanted to be starved and dehydrated if they ever became disabled. They "guardian" won't have to have proof, or only a low level of proof. The court will be able to order the execution of the vulnerable based on next to nothing for proof that this was the person's wishes.
I think husband living in open adultery and fathered 2 children by other woman, while simultaneously attempting to have wife euthanized through starvation/dehydration, is more than enough grounds to annul the marriage.
On Monday, attorney David Gibbs filed 11 motions, including a petition for divorce. The petition for divorce states that Michael Schiavo has been co-habitating with Jodi Centonze for over 10 years and has fathered two children with her. Living in open adultery is a 2nd degree misdemeanor in Florida (FS 798.01 Living in Open Adultery).
Judge Greer refused to hear the divorce petition, along with the motions to remove Michael Schiavo as guardian and to allow news medical tests. The links to several motions filed today are below.

Schiavo's Parents File Motions For Her Life, Possible Death
http://news.tbo.com/news/MGB9UJGLR5E.html
Excerpts:
Terri Schiavo's parents filed a flurry of motions Monday aimed at averting her death or ensuring her family's religious and personal concerns are respected should that effort fail.
The 11 motions filed Monday include a divorce petition seeking appointment of a legal guardian to act on the brain- damaged woman's behalf.
"Mr. Schiavo has engaged in open adultery...[Terri Schiavo] clearly would not desire to die while married to Mr. Schiavo," the motion states.
The motions rejected by Greer are the ones aimed at keeping Terri Schiavo alive. Gibbs said he will begin appeals that could put the case before the U.S. Supreme Court.
"He is on a death march,'' Schindler said of the judge.
Michael Schiavo should have no say over his wife's fate, Schindler said.
"The guy [Michael Schiavo] has been living with a woman for the past 10 years and has two children," he said. "It's an insult to Terri."
Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, said any spouse who truly loves his or her partner would want that spouse to "seek some sort of happiness rather than to be alone."
"I think the real issue is what the state is going to do, either the Legislature or the governor," Felos said of talk in Tallahassee about intervening again.
Also Monday, Florida's bishops issued a plea that Terri Schiavo "continues to receive all treatments and care that will be of benefit to her."
Bishop Robert Lynch, of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, added: "I urge and pray that before the finality, one last effort be made for mediation."
I really like your recent posts on this and other threads. I keep praying for a miracle, and if the miracle that would save Terri has anything to do with the Catholic Church, by golly, I hope that will be accomplished. God won't be mocked, not even by His Church. Bishop Lynch had better get his act together.
Terri ping to 266 and 267! If anyone would like to be added to or removed from my Terri ping list, please let me know by FReepmail!
Reading these pleadings has touched the depths of my soul, too.
Goodnight, or should I say, good morning, prayers for Terri!
PRESS RELEASE
Judge Greer Obstructing Justice
Terri Schiavo and her family flagrantly denied due process by probate judge
Clearwater, FL On February 28, 2005, the parents of Terri Schiavo were informed, through their Attorney David Gibbs, III that Judge George Greer of Pinellas-Pascos Sixth Judicial Circuit has denied, without access to hearing, motions filed by Terri Schiavos immediate family for:
- Updated neurological evaluations based on new MRI testing protocols;
- A motion to compel the deposition of Michael Schiavo;
- A petition for extraordinary authority to provide Terri Schiavo with updated rehabilitative protocols;
- A petition for divorce, citing open adultery on the part of Terri Schiavos husband and guardian;
- An objection to the guardians annual guardianship plan ;
- A motion to remove Michael Schiavo as guardian, citing his failure to comply with Florida Law mandated guardianship requirements. This motion dates back to November of 2002, but the court has never ruled on it.
Judge Greer has stated that he will only consider motions from Terris family as they relate to the death process, which include but are not limited to a motion to allow Terri Schiavo to die at home instead of a Hospice facility, a motion for a Florida burial, and a motion allowing her immediate family uninterrupted access to her throughout the death process.
The Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation finds the actions of Judge Greer reprehensible and a clear denial of the due process rights afforded to Terri Schiavo under Federal and Florida law.
With new medical diagnosis protocols and new levels of rehabilitation protocols, Terri Schiavos adjudicated condition of persistent vegetative state is no longer equitable and any responsible jurist would eagerly recognize and accommodate more thorough means of determining the disabled womans true condition a condition that remains in great dispute.
Additionally, the Foundation finds the behavior of Judge Greer an absolute obstruction of due process for Terri Schiavo by his refusal to hold the guardian accountable for violation of Floridas guardian laws. The guardian has spent Terri Schiavos medical fund on representing his own legal interests, has denied her necessary medical services, lives in open adultery with his girlfriend and their two children, has petitioned the courts to cremate Terri immediately upon her death and has repeatedly and flagrantly failed to comply with Florida Statutes that mandate the terms of guardianship. Judge Greer couldnt be bothered with those details so long as Terri Schiavos death is a guaranteed outcome.
Statement of Pamela Hennessy, Media Representative of the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation: Never in my life have I seen a judge so afraid of the truth. Why is it that admitted criminals are protected to every reasonable measure of law, but our disabled and vulnerable citizens are discarded by the courts as unworthy lives?

Whoops, meant to ping you to Post 276, tired
Another great article folks....Do your job Charlie Crist
Just starting to read the motions,
Greer refusing to hear them?
He's truly lost it!
Amen. what a wonderfully all-inclusive prayer :o). I continue to pray for minds and hearts to be truly open ... for things that have hidden to finally come to light ... for people to rise up, especially from the St. Pete/Tampa community as well as way beyond.
I pray for Terri to be able to enjoy the simple things in life: stuffed animals, a purring cat, getting out and about in her wheelchair like she used to be allowed to do.
In fact, ... I pray for her to get a wheelchair.
